Negative experience: Wonderful environment, most (all but one) of the team are heart centred, supportive, caring souls. Disappointing though, no discussion at all about our individual support needs. ZERO reassessment at the end to determine if any improvement in our health/well-being had been achieved. Just a cookie cutter list of recommendations for supplements to purchase. We attended as a couple with very different needs, yet what was suggested didn't reflect this. Fantastic experience: This place is truly heaven on earth. From the location, to the gourmet meals, to the treatments, lectures, cooking class, steam bath, daily exercise and the kind, caring staff and everything in between. My husband and I recently attended the 8 day program due to a health diagnosis of mine. We both got so much out of the experience and feel that in this crazy, stressful world, everyone deserves a retreat and getaway to Misty Mountain. Every single staff member went above and beyond to provide us the best care and most comfortable stay, they truly make the experience what it is.

Fantastic experience: I just returned from the 8 day program and I am experiencing the amazing benefits of a kickstart into addressing my health concerns. A big thank you to the wonderful team at Misty, they catered to our every need and were supporting and patient with us all. The program provided me with the fundamentals to a healthy lifestyle tailored to my situation, presented as a gentle guidance that I can follow and adopt now in my day to day. Food was spectacularly abundant, tasty and wholesome so I will be making them for the family. The exercise program was attainable for all levels of fitness, I just loved the daily walks on the property. The highlight for many in our group was the daily steam bath and dip in the creek, a very rejuvinating experience. We were given talks on the fundamentals of the healthy lifestyle that explained the principles on which the program is based. I highly recommend this program to anyone with health challenges and is looking for natural alternatives to healing.

Fantastic experience: I rang Misty Retreat and they were so helpful in explaining how I might treat some symptoms I am having. They understand the power of the body to heal itself. I love that they use natural health laws as a primary method to helping your body restore. They also understand the power of plants and in using clean unadulterated products. The person I spoke to had time for me and provided me with resources. Thank you for sharing simple truths about health with us all.

Fantastic experience: If you have any kind of health issues or just need to relax and get away from the smoke, traffic and noise of the city.. This will refresh your senses and bring you back to life!

Negative experience: BECAREFUL! I called the office of this organisation with questions regarding things on their website as we were hoping to find some help for a friend of mine that is dying of cancer. I had read on their website that they help people recover from autoimmune diabetes. I have a son that has had autoimmune diabetes since he was 7 years old so of course was interested. I asked what it meant and she told me that it meant that they are cured from the autoimmune diabetes after doing their program. I asked if she has any documentation of that and she said " This is not the place for you". I said I am just wondering as you have said that you have seen type 1 Diabetics cured, then you had to know if they were diabetics before and checked to see how they were after. Do you have any documentation of this?" She told me they do not believe in autoimmune diseases. I asked again if she had any documentation showing that the beta cells of the pancreas had been healed. She hung up the phone on me. I was not rude to this lady in any way. I was polite. It is a very serious thing to make a claim that you have seen someone healed of a disease, but have no proof whatsoever. This is fraudulent behaviour.

Negative experience: I did NOT stay there. I ordered a book from their website, and the communication has been terrible. Plus, the wrong phone number was added to my package, so if it doesn't get to me, Aus Post has the wrong phone number.

Fantastic experience: Was there as a volunteer and I have no complaints. Could stay there forever if I could. Wonderful people, good food. Grateful to have had the Misty Experience FOR FREE as a volunteer. God BLESS

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful time at Misty Mountain Lifestyle Retreat, in the picturesque dwellings of Misty Mountain, we were treated to life changing health lectures that taught us how to look after, care and nourish and heal our bodies naturally. The daily exercises pushed us, but we're not overly strenuous. The healthful food was utterly delicious, and lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff were so caring and helpful, they would go out of their way to help you with anything. It was truly an utterly blessed time!

Fantastic experience: It’s was my best experience. I loved every minute of being there. Barbara O’ Neil very knowledgeable, helpful, kind person and Naturapath. The atmosphere, staff, food just amazing. The Healthy Program is really healthy. I felt much much better after this retreat. I highly recommend the Misty Mountain Wellness Retreat where is the air like a Haven.

Nourishment and chats with Barbara is marvellous inspiration So much about improving oneself. Such a beautiful gorgeous location. The workers are amazing, so genuine and the untiring selfless spirit they give is inspiring. If I were a millionaire I would donate alot for Misty Mountain. Go to Misty Mountain if you want to know how to really live life and get the most out of your health. Recommend this place for anyone looking for truth about your. Barbra O'neil is such a down to earth person, considering her experience and knowledge. She was already advocating this natural way of living long before all the documentaries came out and before alot of the books that expose our food industries were written. You won't regret going to Misty Mountain. The owners and employees should be paid more for the hours of hard work they put in year after year. 5 STARS !

Fantastic experience: AWESOME! I was so excited for weeks to go to Misty Mountain and I was NOT disappointed. It was even better than what I had imagined. It was such a balanced program with just the right amount of everything. Barbara's knowledge is incredible and the fact that she is so generous in sharing it is nothing short of wonderful. The staff are so friendly and open in sharing their own journeys. I feel so privileged to share the experience. Would recommend it to anyone who needs a detox or just wants to learn more about their health.

Fantastic experience: Hi, Ive just spent the week at Misty Mountains, Every time I need to rebuild my Health I come here. This is my fourth trip and its absolutely worth every $ that I paid. The Education that Barbara O'Neil gave us was absolutely great, I learn new things every time Im here. The ONE STAR comments below mine in this review column, doesn't seem founded on fact,. All My stays have been very beneficial, and Misty Mountains is only Half the cost of any other Health Retreat Ive stayed at in the past.. The staff are Great, Friendly, Kind and Compassionate, Knowledgable and Helpful , I do all the extra treatments I can as, I find that very beneficial to my Health. My partner and girlfriend joined me on this Visit, and she just commented that she would love to stay a second week, but alas they only run 2 weeks on and 1 week off. So our next visit will have to be later in the year or early next year. See you at Misty Mountains if you want to get your health in your control. regards Howard

Negative experience: These kind of retreats are a SCAM! Do not go to Misty Mountain, save your money and get yourself some proper nutrition and fitness elsewhere! They provide juices which can be done at home. They don’t have a personal trainer or proper gym. They have snakes around the premises. They don’t have internet. There is absolutely nothing to do there besides going to lectures and being in a classroom all week. You get just 2 massages for a whole week for the whole time you are there costs $2000 plus the use of their steam rooms, so what, big deal, It’s a RIP OFF! You don’t need to be stuck in a classroom to be told not to have Wheat and Sugar or Chew 33 times or have a drink with your meals. Trust me, its a waste of time and money. Don’t go! It’s for people who have no clue about anything.

Fantastic experience: My first time at a health retreat and it was truly an amazing and life changing experience. The 2 day juice detox was excellent and helped me stop smoking, stop coffee without any major withdrawals. Then we had the most delicious vegetarian/ vegan food for the rest of the week. I have never tasted food like this, plus we got our own recipe book which was really cool. Highlights were the steam bath and swimming in virgin water creek, plus massages, morning walks in nature and health expert Barbara O'Neill's lectures on health and nutrition. I have walked away and finally know what to eat properly in my diet and how to really look after myself. Thank you, thank you, highly recommend. :)
