Fantastic experience: Love for doctors here always get a good service

Positive experience: Over my four or so years of time with this practice I have never received anything but respect, compassion understanding and helpful assistance. I'm so very happy to have these doctors and pharmacists around me..you don't know how much I value it. There was only one issue for me. l I wasnt happy about Joel Ten videoing my visit. 22nd July 2025 I'm posting an addendum to my last post to say thanks again for the gentle, caring and very helpful way you treated me today. You are first class. 23rd October. I am very unhappy that Cohealth Collingwood is closing. It leaves me having to find a GP to prescribe essential medications which will be complex to say the least. I feel like I'll be left without a support network of doctors across a range of disciplines and without the familiar faces that I've grown so much to like. This is truly a community network whose loss I feel deeply

Fantastic experience: Cohealth is a great service all different types of services under the one roof from GP's to podiatrists and diabetes educators I've been using cohealth in Collingwood for 10 years and they're a great service

Fantastic experience: We have been so very blessed and thankful for the world-class service and tender, professional care of all staff at co-health, from the staff across the board, over 3 generations, including each of the Pharmacy team, Receptionists (thank you Yazza, Bethel, Serena and new people), the Indigenous support workers and activities, our dear Doctors (including Dr Halewood, Dr Joanna and the new people), Nurses (dear Helen for so many years and all others too), Podiatry, Physio (thank you Chris, Cynthia and Team), Dieticians (including Katrina), the OT people, Counsellors across the years, Support workers, Mary, Jess, Anthony and other Community Nurses who made such a big difference to all our lives, helping people not only to survive but the thrive in difficult times, we cannot thank you enough, you are each outstanding, wonderful souls, whom we pray each day for in thanksgiving, God bless you, we love you, from Andrew, Zeena and Nadine xxxxxxx

Fantastic experience: Outstanding level of service by a well experienced team who know their community. If we don’t have safe places like CoHealth where do we welcome the real, genuine and beautiful people who rely on this level of service and respect and community building. We need more of this but sadly, tragically, CoHealth is being de funded, closed, swept up in the new system that only values commercial opportunities. Where did wonderful institutions like “The Women’s” (The Royal Women’s hospital) come from? They were about equity in Healthcare. We need equity and empathy in Healthcare! CoHealth is absolutely essential in our communities! Save Cohealth!

Fantastic experience: I had physio on Monday for back pain I'd been suffering for the past 4 years. I'm able to walk longer distances ever since and my back is pain free for the first time in those 4 years. It has greatly improved my mood as well. I feel like I'm being listened to and cared for in a way that is significant.

Fantastic experience: Clean and friendly practice with helpful staff. There is also a fully stocked NSP (needle syringe program).

Fantastic experience: I was able to access 10 free sessions with a counsellor here and it was life changing. I just referred myself on their website and had no idea that to expect. I saw a counsellor student and it was really amazing and accessible as a young person. I really hope they continue being able to offer this service as it’s extremely helpful!

Positive experience: I love the Doctors at Co-Health Collingwood. They have helped tremendously with my various conditions and it’s helpful that they have multiple billing options. However, the receptionists are a PAIN to deal with, I’m not sure if it’s the training or the system they use but they can NEVER tell me the right time for booking and they’ll often call me back moments later to tell me that they gave me the wrong date. Co-health, PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Fantastic experience: These guys really helped my drunken housemate/idiot lol. They drove here at 2am to pick him up & dropped him home the next day. Thanks guys we appreciate it.

Positive experience: Doctors Newgreen and Joel Tan are amazing, I've never had a bad experience with the pharmacy, nurses, or any of the health professionals at this clinic. The receptionists, however, I find are less than helpful... They're not very clear with their instructions, have absurd rules for booking (I can't book a telehealth appointment if I simply want a document that could be emailed to me, I'm not allowed to have multiple bookings when I need a longer appointment), and they always seem to be in a rush to push you away without fully explaining or resolving any queries. You just have to accept the rules as is. Once you're in the appointment it's fine, but considering the wait times for a booking (weeks in advance), actually GETTING a booking is incredibly complicated and unreasonable.

Negative experience: Very difficult to get an appointment at this clinic. Generally can't see a doctor on any given day; you must make an appointment, which is usually for the following week.

Fantastic experience: Very, very professional.

Positive experience: Easy access

Negative experience: I called to try to book a gp appointment and was put on hold mid conversation at least x 4 times and transferred to x 4 different people, so I had to keep repeating what I was calling for. I hung up after being put on hold without even being told I was going to be put on hold for the last time. If these people cannot manage their phonelines, how can I trust with my health. Terrible.

Positive experience: The best Cohealth branch ever! Great staff and place, with no discrimination, no bully, no unfriendliness and no helplessness. Compared to other Cohealth clinics, it is a paradise. I will never attend any services from other Cohealth clinics, after I realize how wonderful here is.

Fantastic experience: Had doctors appointment today see Dr. Franziska Levin, she was super helpful about well-being and sign paperwork for my job network to start going to work. I am very happy now I would like her be my full time doctor have so much trust and faith looking forward seeing her soon. Thank you for your help Franziska :)

Negative experience: For covid19 test All staffs are very helpful and kind. But If you have other choices please go somewhere else, i have been waiting my covid results since 31 December 2021 till now ( 7 Jan 22 ) i’m still waiting my results it’s over a week.

Fantastic experience: 3 January, l went to covid testing 3 different places all closed ,1 more at Clayton waited for 1 hr in the car, after that they said we are closed try somewhere else . So l came to Collingwood cohealth testing site, 1,5 hr waited for testing and l did. All staff were very friendly. Thank you so much. So busy and good management.

Fantastic experience: Best place ever, they have there own pharmacy and I have to say never have I experienced such friendly staff, I will miss them when I move

Positive experience: Offers a good service regarding GP's. However very hard to make a booking. Trying to get an appointment with a regular GP who I see regularly has a waiting period of at least 2 weeks for a booking. Also this service is not accepting new clients at this present time, due to lack of Doctors, which is probably a good thing considering the wait times for appointments for current clients.

Positive experience: This is a review of the covid testing station located here: organisation of online form could be better to remove the need for additional questions once on site. Friendly staff, but long line outside. Happy it wasn't raining.

Fantastic experience: I attended this centre to get my covid vaccine. The staff were very pleasant, very organised and absolutely on time. Excellent.

Fantastic experience: I attended Cohealth Collingwood for an Astra Zeneca Covid vaccination and was very impressed with each of the 4 members of the Cohealth team that spoke with me. All were welcoming, knowledgeable, courteous and caring. The online appointment booking was simple and availability of appointments almost immediate. This community health centre exceeded the standards of all previous clinics that I have attended.

Fantastic experience: I believe Dr Jessie Johnson was very helpful - based up on my 3-4 exchanges with her (one initial assessment and 2-3 written exchanges/ path lab forms and referrals for my management- great attention to all detail). She wasn't afraid to recognise limitations within our session and follow up after in her own time (for example what the best options for referrals to other practitioners would be). Unfortunately she only works limited hours at this clinic (I think only a half day Friday?)- but she definitely puts in out of hours effort to ensure her patients are safely and best managed. Reception - Can be on hold on the phone to reception for long periods - so it's easier to drop in if you live nearby for any queries! Reception are friendly and quite efficient with a complex range of patients coming in. Bookings - can be almost impossible to get same day bookings and you need to have a double session initial assessment before attending the clinic so I advise you do this ahead of time before being unwell - so in the case of becoming unwell you are able to visit! Path lab - on site - very handy and the phlebotomists are skilled, efficient and friendly. Practice - is clean, bright, very spacious, play area for children. Easy to get a park directly out the front and accessible directly off Hoddle street via service road. No "out of hours" bookings available. Rebates and cost of sessions are at lower end of scale! Pharmacy- on site - I haven't utilised so cannot comment on this but may be handy for some patients. I would recommend this clinic but be mindful of the points I made above!

Fantastic experience: A wonderful service. The staff are totally committed to their clients and to ensuring the highest quality medical and allied health assistance to all. It's disturbing that there are some clients who do not behave in a respectful way towards the staff or to this high quality facility that provides free health care to so many.

Negative experience: Men are made to wait for at least 30min, while women as seen to promptly. Sexist place. Receptionists are not shy about this practice

Fantastic experience: Formerly known as North Yarra Community Centre now named Cohealth. Fantastic and caring community health care centre. The Doctors are top quality, the staff are very helpful and the Pharmacist's are amazing! You can't get any better in my opinion.
