Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Vermont Medical Clinic since 1966. From a small family practice to the wonderful facility it is today. The doctors and staff are dedicated and friendly and are always on the lookout for any way to improve your health outcomes.

Positive experience: 2 of us had the hole hospital ward to ourselves and 2 nurses. The room's are HUGE. Lovely views to look at.

Negative experience: It is very hard to get an appointment with the doctor you want at this clinic, and most available slots are with junior doctors who show little compassion or experience. I recently saw Dr Yifan Xu and the consultation felt transactional; she appeared unsure, had to look up the protocol, and simply followed a script. When I mentioned other symptoms, she didn’t examine me and just said to return for a scan if they didn’t go away. At $170 a session, I left feeling dismissed, under-assessed, and with no confidence in the care provided. I understand that the level of care can depend on the doctor you see, but if the clinic charges premium fees, it should ensure all doctors provide thorough and compassionate care, not just the few senior doctors who are impossible to book.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been coming to this practice for some time and the reception staff and doctors are always amazing. A special thanks to Dr. Chris and Dr. Joyce who are both kind, caring, and have looked after my family so well. We’re very lucky to have them at this clinic.

Fantastic experience: A really nice and fairly new building with up market suites. Went to the Eye Doctors here and have also used the Hospital at the same location. It’s easy to get to and has plenty of parking underneath building. There is a pharmacy on the ground floor plus a Cafe for food, if you have to wait for a patient either in Hospital or at the Medical Centre.

Fantastic experience: Dr Joyce (Yifan) Xu is a fantastic GP. She is very patient and attentive to all our needs and questions. She did a thorough exam on myself and my 2 year old son and had a very good rapport with my son. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!

Negative experience: the Doctors there are useless , i went multiple times to talk about how my periods are heavy and if there was anything i could do to help manage them, every doctor i saw regarding this issue said there was nothing i could do and just kept pushing for me to go on the pill (i think they get rebates from putting people on the pill) I then had a scan, and got told this showed PCOS because there were “growths” on my ovaries. I was then told to watch what i eat because i “will most likely” get diabetes, and the only way for me to lose weight is to take diabetic medication (i am not overweight whatsoever) . ontop of that when i said i want to stop my birth control, Dr Yamano said my lining will just “continue to get thicker and thicker and eventually cause cervical cancer”. not to mention my “fertility would be low”. I also asked for a blood test and was told “that wouldn’t be accurate”. I left and went to another clinic who looked at my scans and couldn’t find anything remotely pointing towards PCOS. The “growths” Dr Yamano saw on my ovaries were healthy follicles which show everything is healthy. This other doctor also advised that the only way to correctly diagnose someone with PCOS is via blood test i hate to think what would of happened to me if i actually took her advice and went on that diabetic medication, as well as every other patient that has been wrongfully diagnosed aswell. Not to mention , the amount of stress and anxiety that has given me before i found out the truth this clinic is also insanely over priced for the shitty information they give out. I really would like to be compensated for the hundred of dollars i have wasted to be told “go on the pill” and that there is “nothing they can do”

Negative experience: Sitting here waiting for over an hour for my appointment when lm finally seen not by my regular doctor but by the owner and tried to express my disappointment in having to wait for over an hour all got were excuses.

Fantastic experience: Almost hesitant to write this review coz I don't want the doc to get too busy but Dr Chris Madden is the best GP I have ever had. His care for his patients is unmatched. He always goes above and beyond to help out his patients. Very thankful for him

Positive experience: 4 year ago: Moved to this clinic as the clinic I had been going to since I was a young child closed down. My doctor is no longer available at this clinic so I saw Dr Harding and I was not impressed. I felt she was extremely rude and I felt like I had to argue to get my point across - not what you need when your mental health is not well. Such a big awareness for mental health these days and the last place you expect to be shamed is by a doctor. I will be getting my files moved to another clinic and no longer using these services. EDIT: Finally found Dr Merran Gowans at the clinic and she has been an absolute godsend.

Positive experience: Generally speaking the doctors are good, however I can’t remember a time when I was able to see a doctor at the appointment time booked. Constantly running late and you are never told when you check in that they are running late. When I say running late, I don’t mean 10-15 mins (which is still not ideal), I’m talking 25 - 40 mins! Totally unacceptable and they need to do something about it!

Positive experience: Make sure you have another doctors office you can count on for last minute appointments, as not all doctors are equal. Most doctors will rush you out and not even give you the care you need. Please make sure you check the paperwork before you leave. If they make a mistake eg the wrong date it will not be important to them to fix it on time. I am giving three stars because of Dr Fiona Chao and Dr Lufi Mulyadi are wonderful and if it wasn’t thanks to them we would have left along time ago. And I would have given a lower review.

If they hadn't have been thorough an prompt I may have taken a turn for the worst with my health condition. Dr Klein has been great with working me through this. And so has everyone else. Fantastic experience: Bub and I saw Dr Julie Chang for lactation advice at 4 weeks. Dr Chang is extremely compassionate and understanding of our situation. She will make sure that all her advice provided is achievable and ensure she understands the goal of the family. My supply has nearly tripled since i saw her. We would highly recommend Dr Chang to anyone who need help with breastfeeding.

Negative experience: I just called and made an appointment for my son, when the lady Michelle asked my full name and she said “your name is very typical Chinese name”. Excuse me?? I also work in a clinic and we never comments patient’s name. I called back and speak to their supervisor Megan regarding my experience and she replied me ‘probably the lady who lived in China for a while!!’ Excuse me!! I’m not from China but no matter what’s your reason as a professional you shouldn’t put any comments on patient’s name, I think that not even when you teach your kids ~ I hope that is not racist but really queries their professional. Management team I think you should pay attention of how to train your staff, how to be professional and respect diversity.

Negative experience: Yes good parking and the front office people are nice and efficient .Unfortunately the doctor l saw wasn't interested ,didn't listen to my problems and in the end after looking at a blood test virtually dismissed me without addressing alot of my issues which were not related to the blood test , go figure.

Fantastic experience: i made an adhoc appt on the morning for my child who was coughing badly with asthmatic conditions and asked for the earliest slot possible. was given one slot in the early afternoon and minutes later called me to bring forward my slot to the morning. on top of this, my own experiences with this clinic has been above expectations generally.

Positive experience: Been going there for 26 years and a lot has changed. The original stuff is awesome, the new stuff is quite rude and will talk down to you. I used to see dr Wales and dr crick and they are solely missed. Glad to still see dr gown is still there. Dr Harding on the other hand, not happy whatsoever, being prescribed anti depressants without a mental health care plan for bursitis is not on!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had to change my review today. The thing is there will always be doctors that are amazing, and some you don’t necessarily gel with, but that doesn’t make them bad doctors by any means. I have to say, this team, even with my previous review and in my time of need were there for me. As always the reception team is just simply amazing, and I’m really grateful for all that they do. The doctors there are knowledgeable and I have to shoutout doctor Julie and doctor Tania. Just amazing women who have really helped this sleep deprived mom. A great team all around and beautiful clean facility. Really grateful they are so close!

Negative experience: Absolutely appalled with Dr Harding, didn’t listen to me at all. 3 minute consultation, has no idea what she’s doing. Will be taking my medical files elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rachelle McIllree is the most thorough and caring GP. She takes time to listen and never rushes you. All of my family see her as our regular GP. It's normal to have to wait quite a while to see her but this is only because she takes the time needed with each patient to listen to their concerns. Sometime we have seen Dr Julie Chang and have found she is fantastic with kids too.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst. The most incompetent clinic around, told in the morning to come in and collect a script, drive hundreds of kms from Country Victoria to be told, sorry, we haven't done that yet, can you come back another time. No, I can't, I drove all afternoon to be here. But hey, it's only Heart medication. It's a shame my old doctor moved to this clinic. Edit: in reply, no you did not. Was told explicitly to come in and collect script. Was told that would cost 15 dollars. Which was fine. When I got there I was told I would have to book in to see a doctor.

Negative experience: Worst clinic ever, you can hardly ever get any appointments, you have to book so many days in advance, and that's very hard when you get suddenly sick, they display available appointments online, you book, only to get an email to say it had declined, because the appointment time was no longer available. Not to mention the long periods of time you have to wait for the Dr to see you once at the clinic. Very disappointing!!
