North West Physiotherapy

Negative experience: Unfortunately, this Physiotherapy practice doesn't follow post-surgical guidelines for a lumbar laminectomy. 4 weeks post-surgery, a patient had minimal range of motion in their lumbar spine because the surgical wound was infected. Upon further inspection, it was documented the patient was erroneously provided dry needling twice per week. Dry needling around an orthopaedic surgical wound is CONTRAINDICATED. The patient was alarmed when she was informed that her surgery was infected by an incompetent person. Moreover, osteoarthritis is NOT a common diagnosis for a 24 year old. Additionally, sitting with a heat pack on your neck is NOT a recommended treatment for a cervical or lumbar spine injury. Instead of churning 20-30 patients through the door with just one physiotherapist on a Saturday, perhaps this practice needs to reconsider who really is an appropriate candidate for Physiotherapy. Not everyone is eligible for Physiotherapy if it's contraindicated. Moreover, not all physiotherapists have over 15 years of clinical experience assessing and treating spinal conditions.

Fantastic experience: Came in with some leg/nerve issues and Matthew was very helpful, factored in mobility & explained things really well, gave me some great exercises I plan on using long term & made sure that I left feeling confident about the recovery. Reception was also very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Was recommended this physio therapy practice by my specialist after knee surgery and it didn't disappoint. From the reception staff to all the physiotherapists, their approach was polite, measured and professional care. A special acknowledgement goes out to John Brady my physio for 5 months who got me through the highs and lows of rehab. I didn't even hold it against him that he grew up in NSW. Although, I'm sure he has some way to go to improve his golf game (this is a sad story). Thank you John for your patience, understanding and considered approach to my rehab. I highly recommend this practice and in particular John.

The team members including receptionists are very friendly and welcoming and physiotherapists are exceptional! In particular, I am treated by John Brady and John has exceptional skills. I’m often visiting with severe pain and leaving with major relief and improved flexibility. John is also an accredited Pilates instructor and has tailored my sessions to include both reformer exercise and physio. I haven’t felt this good in 10 years, I can do far more now physically and it’s opened up more opportunities on my weekends to venture out into new and old activities that I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy without John’s treatment. Fantastic experience: I was referred to North West Physiotherapy in Everton Park after I a back injury at work. I was quite nervous about physio causing more pain and discomfort to the already intolerable pain I had felt from the injury. Matt was my treating physiotherapist and he continuously checked in to make sure I wasn’t in too much pain or that there wasn’t too much pressure at any given point. He gave me multiple exercises to help strengthen my muscles which in turn helped ease a lot of pain from my back. I felt very looked after and am now back to feeling 100%. I thank the team at North West Physiotherapy and especially Matt for always showing kindness!

Fantastic experience: Excellent place - I have been looked after by this gorgeous Ronneil Prasad. He is amazing - very caring, understanding and got the exact problem in my shoulder 100%. Fantastic experience: Ronnie and the team at Northwest Physio are awesome. I have a condition ATM where I need daily treatment and don't always get the same physio each day due to me wanting the same time every day. However regardless of who I see I still get the same level of skill and quality of service from all the physio there. Past experience with other physio places had not provided this level of standard. If you want good service, consistent professional treatment and good value for money then this is the Physiotherapy place for you. There is also a lot of other services offered like Pilates to help you recover and build strength. Check them out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

I live on the south side but will always make the effort to be treated here. After years of dismissal about my pain and being told to stretch it I have had hands on treatment that have proactively rehabbed my medical condition to the extent that I don't need physio as regularly. This just go to prove how knowledgeable and caring the staff here. I will always recommend North West Physio for helping give my quality of life back.

They gently encourage me to strengthen my body and expand my horizons without putting too much pressure and pain on my body. The staff are always kind and welcoming and ready to help any way they can.

Frequently I get instant relief from whatever injury I have, as well as guided exercises to keep healthy moving forward.

The team at North West Physio clearly focus more on helping you become injury free so you don’t need to see them as regularly. The exercise’s they give you are way more outside of the box instead of your generic “Just stretch” advice. I can’t recommend Ron enough! He always knows what the problem is and how to mitigate the symptoms. He’s very knowledgeable and super friendly.
