Fantastic experience: I suffer from a herniated disc and lumbar degeneration, with lower back pain and numbness in my feet. Although the numbness isn't caused by nerve compression from the herniated disc, I'm still concerned about why my feet go numb. I have been doing physical therapy elsewhere and taking painkillers. While my condition hasn't worsened, the pain hasn't been effectively alleviated. Prolonged pain has affected my life, making me feel frustrated. One night, my feet went numb while I was sleeping. I decided to look for other physical therapists on Google. Fortunately, I found Rick on my Google search. The first consultation made me feel that Rick was different from the physical therapists I had seen before; Rick helped me identify the cause of the pain rather than just treating the painful area. Rick informed me about the reasons behind my lower back pain and foot numbness, allowing us to develop a treatment plan. During the treatment process, I followed the plan Rick developed for me, and my lower back pain and foot numbness significantly improved. By the third treatment, I had already stopped taking painkillers. After the treatment, I no longer have lower back pain or foot numbness. I am very satisfied with the treatment results and thankful to Rick for relieving my pain.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing service. I was literally debilitated and struggled with severe back spasms. I have been told nothing can be done and just live with it .. that is until i found Rick .. after 1 session I was drastically better .. 2 days later I was able to spend all day in the garden weeding when previously I couldn’t even bend to pull a weed. Now after the second session, he has confirmed a drastic difference. He has given me the ability to get back to what gives me joy without pain. I will be forever thankful.

I have seen numerous Physios, Chiropractors, Muscular Skeletal Doctor, Acupuncturist, Massage Therapists - all who have given me some temporary relief. Dr Rick asked what I wanted to achieve from my visits to him and I replied 'I just need to manage the pain which I have been told cannot be fixed '. Rick said we need to find and treat the cause! After one visit, he did just that and the difference is quite remarkable. Fantastic experience: Over the past year, I've had a disc herniation on L4L5 and L5S1. Without pain, I was unable to stand or sit. My GP says I can't lift anything heavier than 10 kg after looking over my CT scan. Prior to beginning my treatment with Rick, I tried a different physiotherapist and decompression therapy, but nothing I attempted could reduce the pain. After I discovered Rick, I made the decision to try. Rick believed that after six sessions, my pain would be reduced by 90%. After my fourth session, my pain was significantly improved. I have no pain whether I run or walk. It was incredible to finally be pain-free after a three-month treatment. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many chiropractors for years searching for one that can help me with my back issues. I have stayed with Dr Adrian for 2 years now and he is by far the best for me. He addresses my issues holistically. Many chiropractors do the same adjustment in minutes. Dr Adrian takes time to release muscle stiffness with various effective methods and explain what is causing pain and discomfort before making adjustments. I always walk out from his office relaxed.

Fantastic experience: Stumbled upon Rick at painfree physio as I was scrolling through FB. Went to his seminar and decided to give him a go. Well that turned out to be a great choice. I had all but given up onallied health options & I've tried them all. In the last 15 years Ive had damage to my L4/5/S1and 4 lower back surgeries replaced discs with prosthetics and fusion. plus 1 of the surgeries went drastically wrong. That makes things more complex so I dont hold high hopes for my lower back, at the same time I am very hopefull Rick is the answer Ive been searching for. Also have whip lash from a motorcycle accident and my jaw was bashed and very painfull to open and eat. So far Ive had 4 sessions with Rick and he has managed to reduce pain levels, increase movement in all those areas. I am not pinfree yet but I do have noticeable reduction in my neck and jaw so far and some relief in my back but I do still have 2 more sessions to complete the treatment course so I dont want to get ahead of myself. At this point in the treatment I am happy with the results. I am hopeful that at the end I will have a better quality of life back again. Thanks Rick you're a legend.

Fantastic experience: I had terrible back and neck pain from a work accident 8 months ago. I had trouble with sitting, walking, sleeping and out of work. I had been treated by other physio without any improvement. I was so anxious and in so much pain. I couldn't believe in just one session with Rick I was able to move with so much more freedom. Fantastic experience: Rick has absolutely CHANGED MY LIFE! I have had debilitating lower back pain since a sport injury 3 years ago. Multiple CT and MRI scans, a range of pain meds and five different physios but nothing worked. As a 32 year old it was a tough pill to swallow knowing I would be in agony every day for the rest of my life. A friend recommended to try Rick and he came up with an intensive plan of twice a week sessions leading into less frequent "maintenance" sessions. Being the 6th physio I've tried and commanding a premium price for his sessions twice a week, I was sceptical. Six weeks later and I am now able to run, exercise, lift weights, even hold a plank position for an extended period! Things that I thought were long gone from my life. My recovery time between exercise has dramatically improved and the constant ebbing pain is almost gone. The staff are professional and kind at all times, a pleasure to visit. Rick is an absolute Master of his craft!

I have been to other physiotherapists and did not have the same fast outcome. I was amazed at how quickly I saw results. The first consultation was very thorough and surprisingly I had more movement after this session. My treatment plan went for three weeks which included physio sessions, and home exercises suited to my capabilities. I am pain free and feel fantastic! I highly recommend Pain Free.

Negative experience: I saw Stephanie Wu for physio and Paul Shih for remedial massage. I had at this point been going for a month to this clinic. Pros: enjoyed the remedial massage and my limping subdued after first physio session. Cons: THEY KEPT CUTTING MY APPOINTMENT SHORT BECAUSE THEY WERE LATE NOT ME. I paid for 1 hour of remedial massage and 30mins physio back to back everytime I went in. My last appointment was the worst. They were 20 minutes late and I asked the receptionist whether they would extend my appointment to cover that 20mins lost. I was told yes. Before I went in I timed my session on my phone to see because the other times they didn't extend so I wanted to confirm whether she was telling the truth. They had extended by 14mins but not the full 20. I care about that 6mins because I PAID for it. It was the least they could do when THEY WERE LATE for most of the sessions I had with them. I wasn't on an EPC plan or concession, I was paying full fees and realised that's how they treat their customers. I could've complained about the curtain walls (they're not real walls) separating patients or the noise and chit chat of everyone and thing around you because the walls are curtains but I'm not usually one to complain. But what I will complain about is when I'm not given what I paid for. Maybe it's just these two practitioners and the others are on time, but it's just so rude and unwarranted to the clinics clients. I'll never go there again and I'll definitely advise my friends and relatives not to either. I ended up booking with VIVO Physio and Health Management at Mt Gravatt who are qualified sport injury specialists - hopefully they're much better and ON TIME than this lot. Edit: Turns out VIVO was way better!!!! I'm back to running and bending down again, yay!

Fantastic experience: I had chronic neck pain last year for many, many months accompanied by frequent migraines. I was waking up with pain in the middle of the night and my quality of sleep suffered. Rick, thank you for your help, I highly recommend you to anyone with any type of pain, you helped me within the 6 sessions you promised you would. I will be back for a check up. I was treated by a few physiotherapist, has seen neurologist, but unfortunately the improvement was very limited. The level of pain around my neck, shoulder towards to back has impacted my life a lot. Constantly in pain is awful, I am truly grateful for his professional treatment plan and that really shows significant progress. The admin team are also awesome, they are friendly and efficient!

The common theme that I noticed was that you were showing genuine interest in trying to improve people's wellbeing. On my first visit Cindy was nice and I noticed she knew all the clients that were coming in and having conversations about what is going on in their life eg. Dropping the kids at daycare or their recent holidays. Not only is she great at conversation but also super efficient booking appointments and processing payment. Tanya has been an absolute pleasure except when putting me through intense pain while massaging my tight muscles but that really can't be helped I always feel better after :) she has imparted on me fantastic knowledge to help me take care of myself. Thanks to Tanya I am enjoying playing sport painfree and coming home from work without aches and pains from being on my feet all day. I've also seen Johnny the podiatrist who did not disappoint and is helping me with orthotics. Every member of your team that I have dealt with has been amazing at their work and I have been telling everyone how fantastic your service is and your genuine approach to client care. Keep up the great environment you have created.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky to see the back pain & neck pain workshop which was amazing. Rick Chiang thinks outside the box to find the source of pain not just treating the symptom area. Extremely knowledgeable and hands on to get to the bottom of your pain. Most courteous practice staff who are very kind and professional. I have paid a lot of $$$ to other physios with no progress. Ricks workhops show how quickly he can investigate pain problems. Defiantly recommend it.

Negative experience: I was referred by a GP to see the doctor. After the consultation, the front desk didn’t ask me any questions and just asked me to take out my Bupa card to pay. My private insurance didn’t cover it, so I paid 90 AUD. Then I asked the front desk if the GP recommended that I could see the doctor three times; would I still have to pay? I remembered it shouldn’t require payment, right? The front desk said they were sorry but since the card was charged, they couldn’t refund it. At first, I thought it was fine and didn’t want to make it hard for the front desk, so I left. However, the more I thought about it at home, the more dissatisfied I became. 90 AUD is my hard-earned money, and working is really tiring. I hope it’s not just a simple 'sorry' from the front desk that means I can’t get a refund. If possible, please provide me with a solution, as not everyone sees a doctor regularly and isn’t the front desk's professionalism supposed to help explain clearly and guide clients in making choices? Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Johnson Huang and the rest of the staff have been pleasant. Johnson’s expertise / techniques in diagnosing imbalances / misalignments and treating them are unlike other (typical) Chiro practitioners. My condition has vastly improved after the visits. He is happy to answer my questions regarding the treatments which helps improve my understanding of the ailment causes and effects. I highly recommend Johnson if you have subluxations, nerve pain, injuries or a weak back.
