Fantastic experience: Dr Singh is one of the best GPs our family has had living in Elwood, I’m a cynic when it comes to GPs and she is thoughtful and kind to my kids and makes more suggestions than just medicine - I couldn’t recommend her higher, she caught my sons mycoplasma pneumonia early and he recovered 3 times quicker than all his class mates

Negative experience: I'm horrified by the GP Seema Singh at Medical One Elwood! She is very unprofessional, argumentative, no compassionate for women and children who are affected by DV. She asked the patient to be professional? I have never heard that being a patient that you need to be professional! It's a joke. The manager couldn't do much to help when the GP treated patient unfairly and unkind. That's the system that we are dealing with. Don't waste your time to see this dr. She shouldn't be a doctor when you have no compassionate and kindness towards vulnerable patients.

Fantastic experience: Seven years ago I was struggling with physical pain which had affected my mental health a lot. So many doctors I would see would dismiss all symptoms blaming it on weight or anxiety. I had moved house and decided to try my luck at my local doctors and I was booked in to see Dr. Alfaz Emadi. I will always remember I was explaining what was going on to him and I was being dismissive myself about it because of past experience and he looked at me and said “saying your symptoms are only caused by weight or anxiety is like saying oh it’s just because I’m getting older, there is always a chance there is an underlying condition and we need to rule it out before we can “dismiss” anything.” I’m pretty sure I cried because I finally felt someone was taking me seriously and a short while later I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease, PCOS and endometriosis and he has been my primary GP ever since. Dr Emadi is one of the most caring and respectful doctors I have ever seen and without him, my life could have been a lot different to what it is and what it now can be in the future. 10/10 would always recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr Emadi – 10/10. I visited Medical One – Elwood in the last 48 hours. I visited Dr Emadi who is one of Melbourne’s premier medical practitioners. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable always taking the time to understand my concerns and issues and working with me to find suitable and pragmatic medical solutions. He was extremely empathetic and demonstrated a real and genuine care for my needs. Dr Emadi is a very clear communicator and takes great care to explain his advice and guidance. Even when I left my personal items behind in Dr Emadi’s room he took quick steps to ensure I was located and my items were returned (I had exited the medical clinic by that time). I would also praise the administrative / triage team who were very polite and helpful. Whilst I prefer not to be unwell I am always fully confident of my care with Dr Emadi.

Negative experience: Dr Emadi was Terrible. We had a 10 minute appointment booked. Without even seeing us, he assessed that he didn’t have time in ten minutes to deal with all of my dying father’s ‘problems’ so told us to go home and book a longer appointment another day. He didn’t even bother to come out and talk to us himself. Just sent the receptionist to send us home. We waited two hours to speak to the doctor. He just wanted to fill out forms and send us away. So unprofessional and so lacking any care or compassion! The receptionist was lovely. Not their fault at all. The doctor was astoundingly awful and rude.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for almost a year now and am always comfortable and supported in what can be a stressful process. I've really appreciated Dr Chakma's informative and caring manner. Reception is also always really helpful when I come in, having been informed by a receptionist Arielle recently about how much my consult will cost and how medicare rebate will work for me on request. Fantastic experience: I have visited Medical One Elwood quite a few times for myself and my son over the period of last 5 years and have been to various different doctors there but recently got appointment with Dr. Pablo Chakma.He is an extraordinary intelligent Doctor with human values. Negative experience: had been a patient for a long time, they stopped bulk billing which is very hard on me, now they don't acept cash and you have to pay via card and now they also want to charge you a surcharge for it, that is totally wrong you can't stop taking cash and then expect people to pay more for your bad decission. totally totally wrong. SURCHARGES - further to your comment re -surcharges, they are not a legal requirement and out of your control, they are an option only, I suggest you contact the ACCC and improve your knowledge cheers

Negative experience: is it not possible to do 0 stars? I urge anyone reading to not see Dr Jacob Rich! I left the place in tears. I went for to try get help with mental health and from the second I went in there he was uninterested not helpful and rude. its my first time reaching out so I don't know the ways about it but I know I needed a mental health plan to be able to see a phycologist and be bulk billed he put on the paperwork his own phycologist who wasn't available for another 2.5 months so I asked can I use it to see a different one. here's the worst bit he then came out into reception and was yelling at me about he would need to do all the paperwork again and won't do it unless I book another appointment. he was openly talking about my issues and needing to see a phycologist in front of a full waiting room I felt embarrassed and ashamed. he is in no fit state to be a doctor he couldn't hear properly speak properly and was coughing his guts up. please avoid at all costs!!

Negative experience: Dreadful medical centre with substandard doctors. Do yourself a favour and go to a practice where they care for patients and offer up to date medical guidance. Don't waste your money and you won't get decent medical support. Saw Dr Hande first time today. She was 15mins late which was ok with me as I understand sometimes people need more time with a dr.......until 10 mins in to my appt when I was discussing a menopause urinary issue and she shut me down by saying she had other patient appts and I would have to book another appt to discuss. Obviously this is how drs at this clinic make money. Appts are expensive enough and I don't have lots of income to waste on multiple appts just to get medical advice. Also in the 10 min appt she just wanted to go fast, wasn't curious about my health concerns and kept wanting me to see my usual gp. I don't have a usual gp as this medical centre turns over doctors so fast...obviously a red flag if even doctors don't stay here. Prior to this appt I saw Dr Woodgate who was not interested, was dismissive, when I asked what menopause related blood tests to add to the blood panel she referred it back to me asking what else I wanted. And ox she says she is into women's health. I got the message and decided to just get pathology referrals and prescription refills and get out. Obviously no interest in me as a patient, no care, no advice. My two other prior doctors in this clinic were reasonable....however they left the practice one after the other. Neither had been with medical one Elwood very long. This clinic is dreadful, and I gave it a good go over last 12 months.....go elsewhere, I know I am.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrendous, unprofessional doctors. Go in with unknown illness, get blood tests. Doctor says she’ll call with results, nothing… call reception told to make an appointment. Charged $60 for a 9 minute phone call where doctor says further blood tests needed. Says they’ll email the referral. Nothing received, call reception a few days later to follow up. They say they’ll get back to me. Never do… end up in the ED. While I’m ashamed they got $160 out of me, they should be ashamed at their blatant disregard for their patients health just so they can see more patients and make more money. Only recommend if you have a death wish.

Negative experience: Dr Hande came across as very biased and dismissive. I usually see another GP at the practise since the past 4 years but I suffered an allergic reaction to the antibiotic given by the GP I usually see - hence, Dr. Hande was the next available person so that I could get an alternative prescription. Dr. Hande was judgemental, dismissive and insistent on 'just letting it be' and speak to my usual GP the following day. I was in so much discomfort, in my first pregnancy, suffering an allergic reaction and this doctor did nothing to help! Furthermore, the audacity was then to ask me to pay the consultation fee for speaking with Dr. Hande who said 'the original medication is so common, noone should have an allergic reaction. I'm from India too and this is such a common antibiotic, I'm surprised it's caused allergy.". I'm sorry but this is my first pregnancy, I've never had this medicine before despite being from India and I was so mentally anguished at Dr. Hande for not only being dismissive but then having the gall to charge a consult fee for giving me added stress, confusion and leaving me in the same state as before my call. Absolutely ridiculous!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Medical One Elwood for 5 years and recently came across this amazing caring wonderful doctor Mahshida Beheshti who has totally helped me as she is very knowledgeable and cared about my health and mental wellbeing she didn’t see me as just a number but as a human being I was able to express exactly how I felt and I honestly Recommend her to anyone that really needs good help , not easy to find a GP that makes you feel at ease when you leave the clinic. I’m so glad I met Dr Mahshida thank you for guiding me to a better life still lots to do but I have her support . All the staff at medical one Elwood are kind and supportive.

Negative experience: First time at the centre - Really fantastic treatment from the staff, extremely dismissive attitude from Dr Hande. Paid $100 to be told that my periungal warts are not large enough to be removed from my hands. After attempting to have a discussion about the contagiousness of these warts and how I could be spreading these to partners, friends and the community she was totally uninterested and dismissive, telling me they will need to be larger to be removed. A quick google search shows me she is medically interested in "disease management, preventative medicine", but I guess warts are not a big concern for her. Wasted money
Negative experience: It went from good to garbage I gave up when I went for a copd condition and the "doctor" was writing an Antiobiotic Script and I had the Flu...before I had finished speaking. The over subscribing of antiobiotics creates superbugs and hack doctors like this are part of the Problem.. It seems it is far worse. Mere bean counters buy up these practices. Shred the Bulk Billing even for the poor and infirm and charge more. " Do no Harm " Msy as well be a line in a bleak satire.

Positive experience: Knowledgeable doctors, I have been to a few different drs, depending on who has available appointments and I haven’t been disappointed by any of their service. Wait times can be long, first 3 times I went here had to wait over an hour for my appointment which was extremely annoying, it would also be nice if the doctor let you know if the appointment has become a long appointment and will be more money rather than a receptionist telling you once you’ve walked out there. There’s no bulk billing in this area anymore which is why I do come here instead of a bulk billed clinic, it is a bit overpriced, but it’s a non bulk billed clinic so can’t really expect it to be cheap.

Negative experience: Can I choose no stars? Charged incorrectly for a consult that we were told by Dr Maria would be free, so I complained to staff, was told by receptionist that she would look into it and call me back, she never did. I called back a week later, spoke to same receptionist who apologised for not getting back to me, asked her to follow up again, she said she would look into it and call me back, and guess what happened? She never did! I'm getting the clear idea that they are only interested in making money and tricking long standing clients into paying fees they weren't told about. AVOID. I'm happy to speak to staff directly about this...if they call ever me back!

Negative experience: I couldn’t book in with my regular doctor today and required an emergency script as my hormone replacement therapy was out of stock in all pharmacies. Although Dr Beheshti was pleasant enough she was clearly out of her depth and was reluctant to provide a replacement script and spent considerable time on google. She eventually called the pharmacy and told me they had what I needed. However I luckily I insisted on a getting a script for backup. When I went to the pharmacy they were out of stock and called her back. I was provided with one months supply of an alternative due to the script I insisted upon. Very disappointing, I explained the pharmacy cannot dispense an alternative without a script but she did not seem to understand this, as a nurse for 30 years this is a concern.

Negative experience: Just goes to show how bad this medical practice is by seeing other reviews. Like more 1 star than 5 star reviews is like they need to take on the feedback and do something about it. The worse medical practice I’ve ever dealt with. I recommend finding another practice who has diligence and integrity in their work cause this centre ain’t it. We’ve had so many issues with this centre every time we book an appointment and nothing has gone smoothly. Reception and doctors here have terrible service. 1. Reception advised me to let doctor know if they’re unable to locate my records, let them know there’s potentially duplicate profiles yet they were the ones that created the profiles, made the error and the audacity to charge the patient a fee on top of poor service. Take responsibility 2. Doctor referred me to a plastic surgeon and didn’t send the referral as advised, therefore lack of communication between the doctor and plastic surgeon with different information given making me the middle guy going back and forth for over 6 weeks. Communication is disappointing. 3. My son had a cold went to see a doctor on call and did a checkup I.e his ears, fever, breathing and advised he’s ok to go to daycare the next day and it’s just a virus he’ll have to fight on his own, yet we went back again the next day cause he was getting worse during the night and we saw a different doctor this time and she advised my son had an ear infection and gave us the right medication to treat it. The lack of integrity and consistency with these doctors here is terrible, they don’t care enough it almost feels like it’s just a money making business instead of a practice who care about people’s health and well-being. 4. I booked a phone consultation and waited an hour for the doctor to call me and I decided to cancel because the wait time was ridiculous and they had the nerve to call me to request payment for the appointment that never happened and 5. You have to book an appointment again just to get your test/blood results. Makes no sense. Have a better system, better way of working for your patients. Cause at the end of the day, you ain’t a medical practice without us, we’re paying you to do YOUR job. DO BETTER!!! 0/10.

Negative experience: I had the worst traumatic experience at this clinic. AVOID THIS CLINIC AT ALL COST!! As a survivor and victim of domestic violence you would think that at the BARE minimum that any GP that you were consulting with, in this case it was Dr Seema Singh, would be sensitive, empathic and compassionate towards your situation at the BARE MINIMUM. No it was the opposite!. Dr Singh was rude and completely humiliated me during and after my consultation and in front of patients and reception staff. I kindly asked Dr Singh whether my appointment could be bulk billed due to my horrific circumstances. I also informed Dr Singh that prior to the consultation, I had asked one of the receptionists in the clinic whether GP's could bulk bill at their discretion and due to exceptional circumstances. The receptionist said yes and to inform the GP. I advised Dr Singh in regards to this and she angrily stated NO and demanded that I pointed out the staff member who had provided me this information and demanded that I further took up this issue with the practice manager. At this stage she had hurried me out of the consultation room and was loudly having these conversations with me in front of staff and patients. I was so traumatised and shocked with what was happening. I refused to confirm the receptionist who had provided me this information and I advised Dr Singh that this was highly unprofessional, which further angered her. Dr Singh then pressured me to speak to the practice manager who gaslighted and minimised my whole situation. The practice manager even had the audacity to MOCK ME, whilst I was hysterically crying and when I was trying to explain how extremely difficult the whole ordeal had been for me. Compounded with my mistreatment at the clinic, which had further exacerbated my mental health. As a health care professional myself, this situation has reinforced the importance of advocacy and adequate support for domestic violence victims and survivors within and beyond the healthcare sector. In addition, to mandatory and ongoing training for all health care professionals to be competent in supporting victims and survivors. Due to the significant trauma that I experienced from this situation, I was not planning to write a formal complaint, however I was encouraged to do so to prevent such horrific experiences happening to other vulnerable people.

Negative experience: Posting under an alias. Doctor treated a skin infection, advised that I may need another course of antibiotics and to call up if it wasn’t getting better. Charged $102 for the initial consult, fair enough. Wanted to charge $102 for a 30 second phone call to get a new script. Pretty stiff, and will be looking for new GP for sure!

Negative experience: We had an appointment with Dr Seema yesterday. We spend not more than fifteen minute and we were charged for $140 for the appointment. The receptionist was absolute disgraceful. She had this stinking attitude towards non white people. It was horrible experience. She told us she will send our Medicare rebate but never send it. Upon confirming again next day she made excuse that there was no Medicare. Well we gave Medicare card to Dr Seema. She put all the information in the system in front of us. The receptionist forgot to send it and that ok we all do mistake but she was showing this attitude that it was our mistake as we don’t control her computer. I think she do not deserve this job. In this high inflation every cents count, but this out of touch people and privelge people are don’t care about the customer. Not sure who is running this clinic but it is horrible experience and we will never go again. Doctors and receptionist are not worth it what they are charging people.

Negative experience: Pity I can’t give zero stars. Doctor rang me in the morning to give the result of a test. The phone call lasted one minute. Later that afternoon the receptionist rang asking me to accept a charge on my credit card for the one minute phone call. Told her I was not paying, said goodbye and hung up. I will gladly pay for a consultation but refuse to be ripped off.

Negative experience: Grubby profiteering medical center. Went in Monday for a consultation, doc said come back if it gets worse. It got worse so had a 5 minute phone consult on Wednesday where I had to ask to be prescribed a medication I know works for me. $102 - Racketeering if you ask me. Sadly I enjoy the GP. Negative experience: Have had several bad experiences with this clinic. Just received unsolicited spam SMS from the clinic. Called the clinic, the person who answered asked me if it's OK to put me on hold. I asked them to take my number and remove me from their marketing lists. She put me on hold anyway. After answering she asked all my details, I provided them, she said she couldn't find me in the system, despite my several historic appointments. I then asked the person on the phone to advise the practice manager that the SMS was unsolicited, didn't have any unsubscribe option (which is required in Australia) and that I would be leaving this review on Google. The person on the phone then raised their voice at me shouting "WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE US A BAD REVIEW"? At this point I told her she's being rude and hung up the phone. Reported the spam SMS to ACMA.

Negative experience: I am sick and in need of a doctor. Made appointment via the website. Got a phone call requesting I have a PCR test before coming in as I had a sore throat. Didn’t ask about my history eg I had covid at Christmas and this sore throat isn’t covid. Didn’t ask about the purpose of my visit or suggest it could be done via Telehealth. I’d also taken a RAT test at home which was negative. Ridiculous to need a PCR to attend an appointment in these circumstances. To get a PCR now I have to get a GP referral. This policy is idiotic. I have attended other clinics that do not that this requirement. I only tried this clinic today because my usual clinic isn’t open on Saturday. Post review note: Thank you for your comment but I have found another clinic.

Negative experience: WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Read the Google reviews of this place before you book to see someone. Tried to get a phone consult for my 90 year old neighbour (war veteran - he served his country with pride) and as it was going to be an after hours telephone consult, they wanted $102.00 I have done phone consults with them before and they last only about 2 minutes. The medical centre rang me just before 7pm to take payment before the doctor was going to ring me. Unfortunately I did not have my wallet with me so they said they could not help me and no doctor would ring either before payment was made. I said I can pay tomorrow morning just please get the doctor to ring so that the 90 year old can get his script. He is waiting on a hip replacement and the pain is so bad as he has bone on bone. Every 10 days I have to ring to get his script, so they can see that he is a patient of theirs. Just goes to show you that this practice puts money over patients. Absolute disgrace to the medical practice, they should hang their heads in shame. The patient has been going to the same practice for many many years as well. This medical practice is an absolute rip-off! My advice to anyone is to seek another practice to go to as these are heartless.
Negative experience: Avoid this practice if at all possible. I was only going because of Dr Dorman and when she left, they didn't inform me but tried to book my follow up with another GP. I've now been battling to get my records to Dr Dorman's new practice. They sent the request over a month ago, I've tried calling and emailing - no response. I'll be lodging a complaint with the Information Commissioner as I don't see what else I can do. I recommend others do the same
Negative experience: These guys should not be considered medical professionals. Completely dismissed everything I said and was made to feel like an idiot for even speaking to them. I am so sick I can hardly breathe and was sent on my way with a sticky note as a prescription which said take 2 Panadol and come back if it doesn't improve. I told the wast of space Dr that it had already been 2 weeks and its only getting worse. Total wast of time money and energy.
Negative experience: This used to be a great clinic. Not anymore. If only I could give zero stars. Exorbitant private 'after hours fee' for a 12 year old with a 5pm appointment? Please. What has happened to this place. Avoid.
Negative experience: One appointment I got there a little early, sat and waited for about 45 minutes past my appointment time. The next appointment I got there 10 minutes late and after a few minutes of waiting, the receptionist came over to tell me my appointment was cancelled because I was late. Where’s the consistency? I know I was a little late, but I know I wasn’t 50 minutes late. By the way, my appointments with the doctor have been consistent to treat an ongoing issue, and he knows it’s a very short appointment required (5 minutes or less). The receptionist said I could have my appointment rescheduled to later that day but because of the clinic’s billing policy, it would cost the full amount and no Medicare rebate would be available, and the appointments for the next day were all booked for the times I was available.
Negative experience: Not has been good experience at all ! Everytime I am booking appointments for vaccine I have to pay doctor consultation fee for no reason! And another shocking thing for me is when I come for a blood test it make sense to pay doctor consultation fee just for not even talking a minute but having to pay again doctor consultation fee just to pick up the result is worst! No one aware about wearing a mask but indeed being medical centre they didn’t bother to put a mask box for their client. Such a ridiculous.
Negative experience: Don’t waste your time going to this place. The doctors are rude, seem miserable to be there and just want to get you out the door quickly even if it means a completely wrong diagnosis. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere if you actually want a doctor who cares about helping you.
Negative experience: Was charged $100 for <10 minutes with Dr. Patel. Haven’t had improvement within 5 days so a phone consult was suggested but was told I’d need to pay full fees again - doctor wouldn’t bulk-bill. The clinic churns and burns patients and the doctors come and go with no consistency.
Fantastic experience: I was squeezed in on a very busy day thanks to Sylvie and Chelsea who really made an effort to get me seen to immediately after a workplace injury. I was then seen by Dr. Matthew Lynch and Nurse Pinky' who were great. It's a very busy clinic and the girls behind reception desk hold the fort well!

Negative experience: If you're looking for an impenetrable bureaucracy that prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, this is the place for you. The quality of medical care is top notch but the organization itself just wants your money and doesn't really care about fairness. My GP prescribed a medication but made a slight error on the prescription...twice. Both times, the staff wanted to charge me for the doctor to fix the mistake. The first time, I managed to argue my way past it. The second time, it was not going to happen. Granted, my GP was away so it would have involved another doctor. However, the error on the slip was so obvious that anyone could have seen the problem and it would not have required a consultation to rectify. On another occasion, I needed to get a form to submit to my health insurer. They wanted to charge me for another appointment to get the form which would have then required a further appointment to get the required paperwork for that appointment ad infinitum. Again, I managed to talk my way past this but still, the constant hassle over money has driven me away from a good doctor.
