Fantastic experience: I've been seeing the same GP for years and when they relocated to Southern Star, I followed. The customer service is great - friendly and professional and I always feel like my GP takes the time to listen, understand and always refers me to the best specialists when dealing with my conditions. I never feel like I'm being rushed or disregarded. I do believe I receive the best treatment here. Yes, my GP's consult fee is a bit high but they're definitely worth it. I've also had great service from the onsite Clinipath pathologists.

Positive experience: Better check on line for pathologist opening hours as receptionist yesterday Friday is new she advised clinipath opening time is 8am. People turned up 8am for bloodiest but door opened at 9am.

Fantastic experience: Came here to see a doctor about a minor ailment. GP was on time, very kind and patient, asked good questions and was very thorough and helpful. Reception staff were also friendly and I was able to claim my Medicare rebate on the spot via their EFTPOS system. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I like that the info/ service desk is friendly and quick to process, the doctors' consultations and treatments are accurate, and the doctors' diagnoses are reliable and have a wealth of experience, so the hospital notifications and measures are processed quickly. And it's conveniently located in the Coles shopping center building. !!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love southern Star Medical, wonderful service, lovely ladies, always willing to help, nothing is too much trouble for them to help. It’s like an all in one, spotless in every way, everything is so professional and organise. My Doctor is Dr. Rose. I followed her to the medical centre, didn’t matter that I need to travel further, she is so thorough, and extremely thoughtful. I pray she never leaves. Negative experience: Thought everything was all set for my LO's immunisation, as our GP said and checked it can be administered early on. My original appointment was rebooked as they said no Nurse was available to attend. But when we got there, the nurse said they couldnt do it as its too early for a 12th months vaccine. They should have check this before they rebooked the appointment. Although I understand, it cannot be done, just thought there was miscommunication onset.

Negative experience: Pretty shocked at the lack of care taken by a medical professional with a supposed special interest in mental health. My partner who suffers from chronic mental health disorders, of which they are heavily medicated for, was made to feel like a scammer for struggling with their symptoms. The Doctor was unwilling to listen to his patient's situation, before passing judgement on them. He was uninterested in reading the diagnosis of the specialist we see regularly, as well as the documentation we brought to contextualise the severity of the symptoms. My partner shut down from overwhelming anxiety, triggered by the condescension and frankly aggressive tone of the GP; they had to sit there while I was forced to defend the validity of their condition against someone whose job is to help patients.

Fantastic experience: Dr May Ann Wong is amazing . I’ve been with her for 13 years and she has looked after me with my complex medical issues . I would recommend her beyond any other doctor. Thank you Dr Wong .

Close to shops, fast food & top chemist in case you need meds or groceries. Plenty of parking as well. Staff are approachable & friendly too.

Negative experience: When I booked the appointment I was told that the Doctors consultancy fee is around $70 and that is standard appointment so my Mirena will be under that appointment minus the rebate. At the time of payment I was charged $125. The receptionist said it might be the casual who gave you the information. I told her I wanted to get the best deal so was calling around and trying to find the best price. They just blamed the casual staff and I suffered due to that. Highly unprofessional.

Positive experience: The doctor is good, patient and explains medical procedures and recommendations well. However, I have a few occassions where they run behind time. Please may you try and stick to allocated times.

Fantastic experience: The centre is clean and tidy. Staff is super friendly and polite. The nurse was so professional and friendly with my baby. My baby had a painless immunisation and that makes me so happy. Dr Qudduss explained everything in detail and was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this centre.

Negative experience: Terrible experience with Dr Quam today. My son was born with a genetic disease and has had multiple health complications since birth. Dr Quam talks in a joking matter showing no compassion nor does he listen to my concerns. Today I tried repeating myself many times only for him to say I’m being inaccurate simply because I don’t have specific dates or times regarding the start of my son’s diarrhoea or changes in the colour. He continues to say how he’d send my son away if we went to Emergency department. Making snarky comments disregarding our struggles. (Knowing my son is not a typical child but rather a child who suffers from many other contributing factors). I have spoken with many doctors over the last 10 months regarding my son’s struggles and Dr Quam is the only doctor who struggles to listen. All other doctors have met my son’s needs as they should. If you go here do not see Dr Quam. I enjoy southern star medical but I will be seeing a different doctor next time.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting this clinic. Great first impression as the receptionist was very obliging and friendly. I missed my previous appointment and they called me and gave me a new date, I did not feel invalidated by her for my unintentional mistake. The doctor, who hails from Ipoh, Malaysia, was also very professional, war m and friendly. He understood my needs and gave me the chit to carry out the necessary ultrasound test, without much fuss. All in all, a great experience. Also the wait time was less than 10 minutes. Will recommend my wife and children to come here as this is the nearest clinic for us.

Negative experience: This practice doesn't stand by their policy on non bulk billing patrons with health care concession cards. I have a up to date health care concession card, filled in new patient form with the details of concession card and was charged $70 on my way out, phoned them to question it they said come in so they can put it back on my credit card they'd give me a refund, i went into the clinic, the rude staff told me to wait 40 mins then told me in person they don't have to give me a refund.

Only area for improvement is Filling New Patient form "online" seems to be a waste of time. .it doesnt go through (noted this in other practises too)and you have to redo a paper one. Negative experience: Next time don't take phone appointments if you don't know what staff is working at your clinic. We booked for a Gp and nurse for baby immunisation and confirmed over the phone and email. Now when we arrive for our appointment 3 days later, your rude staff tells me with a attitude that sorry the nurse has already left and that we cant see you since we didn't ask for an immunisation appointment. It's not easy coming all the way with a baby and an injection that has to be administered within few minutes out of the chiller.
