Negative experience: Another place that overbooks and demands you accept having to wait over an hour beyond a scheduled appointment, while the doctor covertly lets people to the front of the line, via txting on a mobile phone. I'm not contributing to the greed merchants, whose only concern is how many cars and homes they can own. Use if you're desperate, I guess, but I'm not.
Negative experience: Long wait times... Queue somehow knows of favour others... Receptionist is fine and friendly... GPS usually are pretty good .. but the wait time and unorthodox queue is annoying and way to long. Hire more staff lads and stop kids riding around the waiting room on roller blades... AH IDK SO THEY DON'T HIT A OLD MAN or a PATIENT.
Negative experience: Incredibly long wait time just about every time. Currently over 2 hours plus.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff in the clinic, getting me in at 9:30 at night when no where else would. Wait time was minimal, will definitely be returning if need be!

Negative experience: Have a bad experience there. Asking for filling the water bottle for my pregnant wife and the rude staff said that you could fill it from wash room and then we cancel our appointment and she snatched the color and paper from my son's hand. It happened near 5:30pm on 18th December 2024. Before going think twice.
Negative experience: waited hours (I was told I was 6th in queue to see a particular doctor but ended up having lots of people go ahead of me and was then told that it was a complicated procedure and that I was 6th originally but lots of other people were added to the queue ahead of me ???) and extremely rude receptionist.

Negative experience: Would not recommend at all. We were travelling from Melbourne with my son playing in a volleyball tournament. Needed to see a doctor to get a referral for an x-ray and ultrasound on his arm due to an injury. Saw Dr Sophia Yusuff who couldn’t even open the door fully to allow us to enter the room properly. She was extremely gruff, quite frankly very rude and treated us almost with disdain for the sheer fact God forbid, we seemed to be taking up her time. Got the referral which is all I really needed and couldn’t wait to get out of there. When I asked her how I would obtain the results of his tests to know whether he could continue to play in the tournament, she said I would receive an SMS. I asked if I could call and she said it wasn’t encouraged. She had zero bedside manner, not at all friendly or approachable and she made me feel ridiculous for asking questions. From reading other similar reviews this lady seems to hate her job. If so, why does she continue to practise? Well I received the text today which simply told me to make another appointment with the centre to obtain them. Not easy to do when you are here for a tournament, so I rang the practice to see if I could get the results over the phone. Receptionist told me I could not and would need an appointment with them or go into another practice for the doctor to download and obtain. Ridiculous! I understand that I need to doctor to read the results but why can’t this be done over the phone?? No difference if over the phone or in person. What is the point of having tests done if you can’t access the results??

Negative experience: I’ve been given incorrect scripts more than 3 times. I’ve had to come back and see the doctor every single time. Then, as if it’s not bad enough that the doctors are not competent to get a simple script right, I’m made to wait for hours for a mistake that will take 10 seconds to rectify, after already waiting for an absurdly long time to see the doctor in the first place. The staff at the front are of absolutely no help. A massive waste of time.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding service on a Sunday. Despite the number of people waiting, the receptionist remained empathetic and efficient. The nurse was kind and professional and Dr. Lassig was exceptionally caring and helpful. Highly recommended
Negative experience: Been here a few times, and every time it’s terrible. I’ve had Dr. Zhou before and he’s so rude and just can’t wait to tell you that there’s nothing wrong and get you out. Today I had Sofia Yusuff and she’s just as bad, I was so excited because I thought as a girl she’d be the tiniest bit caring seeing as I was having female problems but she was just rude and didn’t even care to explain anything for me? I had to push for her to explain things and she still wouldn’t explain it and I had to ask for a few tests because she literally didn’t care at all. Definitely won’t be seeing either of those doctors again. Lady at the pathology was very very sweet though, love her.

Fantastic experience: All the doctors are really great, it's convenient near work, you can wait instead of missing out on an appointment when you really need to see a doctor the same day. Waiting period is ok. Bulk billed. Opening hours are the best - opened long hours, weekends and public holidays. You can't find all this in any other medical centre. Fantastic

Negative experience: No costumes service at all. Called 7 times today holding for 20 minutes each time just to find out what time I'm booked in for a heart monitor to be pit on me which i waited for weeks for and I have no idea what to do now
Positive experience: Wait till is a little long, but it comes up on your phone where you are in the queue and continues to update. Saves you sitting there wondering. You can check in from your car and sit and wait till it’s closer to your appointment.
Negative experience: Told to come back with scans for immediate attention on broken bones and was told I had to wait 60 minutes. Just treated like a number and had to register on the app to book in and reception was no assistance. Doesn't even deserve a 1 rating
Negative experience: I’ve been here a couple of times. Today’s wait was 2 hours, that’s fine, not great but it’s a walk-in clinic. You need to use the app to get a spot in line. The doctor I saw was very rushed with me, I was only there for a few minutes, he said my toe/foot was fine but I can get an x-ray somewhere else if I wanted. I went to the private hospital as recommended for an x-ray and she could see immediately my toe was broken!! I then went to the GC Uni Hospital emergency for assessment and they booted me up. So that’s why I’m leaving a review: so others who attend here are aware of long wait times, app sign up and issues, and you may not get correct diagnosis.
Negative experience: We’ve been here many times with no issue. I understand that we need to wait for long but I was ok with it as we like the doctors here. They are more caring than the other ones we went. But today i got told the wrong information by the receptionist on duty and we waited for more than 2 and half hours for nothing. We came for my daughter immunisation and I purposely went to confirm with the receptionist if there will be nurse available as it was close to 5pm and we still haven’t been called yet. I was being assured that the nurse will be there until 8pm. However when we got called at 5.40pm and the doctor tried to go and look for the nurse. He was told that there was no more nurse available. Not happy at all. Please educate your receptionist better as our time as patients are as valuable as the doctors and nurses time.
Negative experience: Dr Sofia Yusuff absolute shocking doctor what a waste of time. If you don’t like your job get a new one and stop wasting peoples time.
Negative experience: Unfortunately we got disappointed after waiting for 2 hours regarding vaccination for my 9 months old son we been asked by reception to leave instead of helping us to get vaccines done at 7pm 27/11/24, is vaccination for a little baby not important?! Would you like someone do this to your children?!
Fantastic experience: My GP was closed. Hospital emergency departments are usually very busy. I asked my chemist where an after hours doctor was. He told me about Our Medical Ashmore. From the moment I entered, every member of staff was alert, listening and couldn't have done better. I'm very, very grateful you're there. Thank you.

Negative experience: Using an app for your medical center might be one of the worst uses of it. Always having 1-2 doctors on and consistent 2-3 hour wait times is shocking

Dr Lassig is a very experienced, extremely knowledgeable doctor that has treated me on a number of occasions, all being largely different and each time he has confidently and thoroughly ensured that I’ve been informed, treated and taken care of with compassion and sincere professionalism. 100% a 5 ⭐️ doctor.

Negative experience: I came in at 8pm to an already pretty full waiting room and was told by the receptionist they were no longer taking patients unless it was an emergency. I proceeded to tell her that the neurological nurse from Griffith Hospital seemed to think it was an emergency and sent me specifically there, by which she huffed and rolled her eyes at me and with major irritation in her voice shoved the ipad in my hand and said 'fill this out'. She then asked me if I had paperwork from said nurse which I said I didn't but had very detailed messages from her to which the receptionist rolled her eyes again and looked very put out. I mentioned her eye rolling and then she pretty much yelled at me saying 'I have to ask you questions'! I agreed with her but I also mentioned I didn't need the attitude with it, considering I was there for some pretty serious brain stuff going on and was already stressed and worried enough. I ended up telling her not to bother and that I would take myself to the ER or another medical clinic because she was too rude. She got even ruder and I grabbed my ID and walked out. To which I then heard her complaining about me to the next people in line!! I proceeded to drive to the Oxenford Our Medical and they were the polar opposite! Lovely receptionist that got me signed up and straight into see a Dr because of my emergency. I will NEVER go back to Ashmore again. For a medical centre where you are helping people who are sick etc you should not be treating people like that. If you don't like your job, get another one!

Negative experience: Been here few times, I see a lack of care for patients in this doctors practice, doctors aren't like they use to be ... I feel like I have something wrong with my heart and I know my own body, the doctor looked at me and said practically I don't have one and he was making up excuses not to do chest scan or MRI !! HE SAID ITS EXPENSIVE OR HE DOESN'T THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM !! DOCTOR YOU DONT KNOW EVERYTHING AND IT DOESN'T HURT TO DO TESTS TOO SEE WHATS WRONG THATS YOUR JOB. DOCTORS SHOULDN'T BE DOCTORS THESE DAYS MOST DONT GIVE A DAM THESE DAYS DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY
Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from the Doctors, Nurses and Reception staff. I have been multiple times over the last 3 years and I have never had a bad experience. The reception staff are so helpful and always smile. There can be long waits as its a walk-in centre but after seeing the amount of people who are sitting there I understand, I either wait or go back another day. The Doctors are also so knowledgeable and listen to what I have to say without judgement, which is a nice change. I will definitely continue coming here :)
Fantastic experience: Always had a good experience, doctors are highly skilled and empathetic. The check in process is easy, choice of doctor and GP rosters available for patients to see up to 2 weeks in advance. It is amazing that we have this resource available to everyone, consults are always bulk billed to Medicare card holders. The set up is just like a non urgent care clinic, small hospital like clinic at the back always staffed with nurses and they can do ECG's, injections, wound care. They operate on a collaborative care model so all doctors work together. Opening hours are convenient, open til 10pm everyday but if you are wanting to see a doctor after 6pm I recommend checking the app prior to going to the clinic to ensure they are still accepting patients as they can get very busy, the app will notify you if the clinic is no longer accepting walk ins for the day. Make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a book to read while you wait.

Negative experience: Thought I would ring in this time after waiting 3 hours the the previous time I was there.. I Was told they had 5 doctors on and 15 patients. Then all of a sudden they were down to one doctor an hour later, i was then told I still had 10 patients to go. I walked out this time considering the wait previously Not to mention the last doctor pushed me out so fast!!! Definitely the Worst practice on the coast. PUT MORE DOCTORS ON!!!!!!!

Negative experience: When checking in with the receptionist with my grandson I asked if he was still registered with the medical centre as it had been awhile since he had been. The receptionist looked him up and said yes, and I was told there was a wait time of approximately 1 hour but there were many doctors on duty so it maybe less time. We waited for over one and a half hours after seeing many patients coming and going.. I finally went back to the front desk to be told by the receptionist that I did not check in and had to go back on the waiting list. I explained we did indeed check in with her. My grandson was in pain with a foot injury and all we wanted to know is if the foot was sprained or broken and should he have an X-ray. The receptionist was extremely condescending and totally in the wrong in the way she handled this situation. When advised of this error on her part she should have put us in as a matter of priority/courtesy but instead we waited another hour before seeing a doctor who was very nice and sympathetic after I explained the sequence of our circumstances. The lesson for everyone if going to this practice make sure you are on the list.
Negative experience: I attend this clinic because my doctor transferred in to it but they are the worst medical company I have ever dealt with. This place is the factory farming of the medical world. It is the opitomy of corporate greed delivering second rate care in the most profitable way possible. It absolutely sucks that I have to look for a new doctor after 8 years because the service here is so inadequate.
Negative experience: Terrible service, doctor gave my wife a medical certificate for the wrong dates and receptionist was very unhelpful and rude said he is too busy to spare a minute to change the dates and said we had to come back again and wait hours for an appointment, to have it changed. Then after a discussion said she would message the doctor to change it but never hear back and wasn’t done. Manager needs to hire helpful and compassionate staff, 04.10.24 afternoon receptionist.
Negative experience: Worst service ever! Receptionist are rude and lazy to work. Got my medical certificate to change the dates as it’s a legal document they said earlier couldn’t do it and then advised me to come to clinic to do it after I advised no this could be just changed over the phone and after time they agreed and hung up with no response.However, when I asked them no I don’t have to come to clinic and wait for hours it can be done over the phone, they agreed however even after follow up calls they did not change the certificate and the receptionist was rude and said (insinuating he’s got no time to do this as he’s got too many patients). Atleast hire compassionate people for a medical facility. Receptionist are always in hurry chatting to staff and giggling on phone and have no sympathy for patients. This receptionist works on Friday-4th October 2024 afternoon.
Fantastic experience: Dr Lewis Lassig cannot stress enough what an amazing doctor he is. With all my children he has gone above and beyond to make sure they get the care their needed. He has even checked in after we have seen him to see how my children were after he referred us to ongoing medical treatment. 5* doctor thank you

Fantastic experience: As new patients we are impressed by the efficiency of everything, e.g. available doctors, neat & tidy medical centre, easy procedure, no waiting periode and the most important thing is still available for bulk billing as not much bulk billing medical centre available on the GC anymore. Positive experience: Doctor Love was amazing, he looked after me and my mother with a lot of empathy and care after we were in a traumatic experience. The only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 is because of the difficulty at reception to have to download the app to check in. The receptionist was lovely, but all she does is help people downloading the app, where it would be much easier to register clients themselves. It's just my opinion though.

Fantastic experience: Our Medical Ashmore is a fantastic medical centre with a caring team, great facilities and a realistic waiting time, sometimes even nil. I go there because of the outrageous wait times at medical centres near my home.
Negative experience: Came in excruciating pain, waited for sometime to see a dr. The dr didn't prescribe any pain relief (apparently nothing would help) and then told I can only lay in bed and nobody can help me with my back pain and to not see anyone (physio, chiropractor etc.) that all I can do is lay in bed and it could be months. Days later no better at all so I took a friend's recommendation after one hour with another health care professional I could walk a little more freely, nerve pain weakening etc. I don't recommend this clinic as I am a middle aged women that stressed I need to work etc. I was met with no help and if I continued to stay in bed I would have caused more damage to my situation.
Negative experience: The centre is quite clean, I usually have to wait for 45 to 60 minutes to be seen. They should install screens so you can see when you're next. Also, there are practically no bins, just a tiny one near reception. Most of the doctors I've seen were ok, although you are mainly being treated as a number - not their fault though, must be tedious seeing one patient after another.
Negative experience: To be told by reception… you’ve only been waiting for an hour and 10 minutes. Wait times are standard 2 hours! 2 x Doctors working on a Saturday afternoon with a wait room of about 40 plus people seems absolutely ridiculous. My GP is at the centre which is unfortunate.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kamali is the best. Make sure you see him if you are new to the clinic. The fact that Our Medical is open 7 days a week from like 7 or 8 to 10 at night is awesome. And the best bit is they still do bulk billing, which seems to be few and far between these days. One word of advice, it can get busy as it’s a walk-in service so make sure to go in non-peak periods or you will be waiting a long time. If you think getting there at opening on Saturday is a smart idea to beat the crowds - it isn’t.

She is not only an incredibly knowledgeable general practitioner, but she also possesses a genuine caring nature that sets her apart. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. Sathananthan took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. Her thorough approach to my care made me feel valued as a patient, and I truly appreciated her dedication to my well-being.

Negative experience: Dr Zhou shocked me by his rudeness and attitude towards me as I had simply gone to ask about a problem I had but everytime I asked him a question or pointed out something rather than listening is replies were extremely argumentative and not helpful whatsoever. I am extremely disappointed in his service and will not be having him as my doctor again. What a disappointment!
Negative experience: Average over 1 hour waiting period! I got a vaccine prescription after 1.5 hour waiting but could get it in chemist nearby so bought it and back but need to wait another 1.5 hour to see GP to get the injection - too hard - will move to some one can make an appointment!
