Fantastic experience: I have been attending Laurimar Medical since I moved to Doreen in 2020. Dr Sohail is my regular doctor and she is always so thorough during all of my consults. She has also seen my 4yo since birth and is just fantastic with her. I highly recommend her if you have children also as she really engages with them. I have seen a number of other doctors at this clinic who are also fantastic. The reception staff are also fantastic and are always welcoming and friendly. They are always helpful when needed.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at this clinic, the reception staff were so kind and attentive to my needs. I had appointments with Dr Shilpa Mane whilst I was pregnant and post birth she was amazing with me and also with my children as they have grown. She is so thorough throughout our appointments and always made me and my kids feel comfortable, would highly recommend to family and friends.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mane has been amazing throughout my pregnancy journey. She’s so knowledgeable, kind and genuinely caring. I’ve always felt completely supported and comfortable under her care. Good doctors are hard to come by but she’s the best, I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Positive experience: Need to fix there website because tried to cancel my appointment for tmr morning and website says there open but when I ring they say closed and it’s 5:00pm and website says close at 6pm

Negative experience: I would prefer to leave no star, but had to leave 1.Most unprofessional medical practice I've been too. Instead of trying to adress the problem both doctors I had seen in a matter of a few days, suggested I come back. While I was there, during each 15min appointment, they more interested in getting that next appoint ment then actually adressing the problem. I actually feel for those who can't afford to go to the doctor eg some single mothers or pensioners. Please think about going to another doctor, very unprofessional.

Negative experience: I have been going to Laurimar Medical Centre for about 14 years now and the doctors and staff have been really good. Unfortunately I had to see a doctor and a nurse for the removal of my stitches and I had the worse experience. The nurse (Anna) was talking very loudly and negatively about my stitches the whole time as it was not absorbable. She said "if they do this stitches they should remove it." She also said to me "next time ask them to do absorbable". I couldn't stay silent anymore and told her that I didn't ask for this type of stitches and I can only get this at a Medical Centre at Thredbo." Anna got very defensive and said "I didn't say you said that." I told her that she has been insinuating it the whole time I was there. She even addressed the doctors by their last names- Ganesh and Das. She did not have any respect for the doctors. Dr Das actually asked me for my phone to take photos of my wound with his microscope! He was actually struggling to remove my stitches. I handed him my phone and he was using it the whole time to take photos of my wound. Doesn't the clinic have the necessary equipment? Why was I asked to pay for a service using my own mobile phone? Dr Das managed to remove the stitches and he asked Anna to do the dressing. Anna rudely shouted (with her back facing me) "he has to wait!" Dr Das saw that Anna was frustrated and he ended up doing the dressing for my wound. Anna behaviour is really unprofessional and unacceptable. And as for Dr Das can the clinic provide better equipment for him to do his job? Photos are still on my phone if required.

Fantastic experience: I have now seen three different doctors at Laurimar and very happy with all of my experiences. I found Dr Rishi went above and beyond my expectations at my last appointment and I will be very happy to see him again.

Fantastic experience: Dr Erandi Fernando is a brilliant GP. She actually cares about me. Remembers and follow ups on things I mention at last appointment Doesn’t rush me. I feel blessed to have found such a wonderful caring GP.

Negative experience: My appointment was at 9am, and the doctor wasnt even there yet. My appointment was with Dr Fernando who then walked in 25min after and then to be charged for a 5 min consult is frustrating.

Negative experience: Dr Fouad Israel is so impatient and unprofessional also rude,very hard to communicate,kick out a very old patient before me ,In a discriminatory tone saying that he can not understand what the patient talking about.I just need a normal full blood examination,he refused without a explain and tell me go to another clinic or wait until my regular GP come back from holidays next year on February,act like I don't care if you are not feeling well,I asked why,he said to me because that he is the one who can make the decision.

Negative experience: Called to try and get seen as I’m worried I have pneumonia. I’m new in the area so don’t have a doctor. She said there is an avaiable aplainent but it’s only 15 minutes and new patients needs longer. I said I just want someone to listen to my lungs and my cough as I’ve had COVID recently and worried it’s now pneumonia… receptionist got all rude and said no you can have that appointment as you have never been before! I begged as I’m new in the area and just want a quick check up. She said rudely no new patients needs a double appointment and we don’t have that! She then hang up on me!

Negative experience: Had a telehealth appointment at 10am. 40mins later still no call. Phone surgery only to say the Dr is running late..How late can you get. Only to have the receptionist not let me speak. This was not my regular doctor. If it wasn't for my regular doctor I would be finding another clinic.. Very poor.

Negative experience: This afternoon we took my two years old daughter to see the doctor for the eczema on her finger, she told me to give her antibiotics to drink, i told her I don't want any antibiotics, her attitude suddenly changed, she became rude and impatient to me.( When I asked her what it caused the issue as it just happened two days ago, she told me it is genetic, doesn't want to explain more to me.) Definitely not go to that doctor again. Very disappointed experience.

Negative experience: It’s a shame that your can wait up to an hour for your booked in appointment when you are expected to be on time. Yes I can appreciate and respect some people require special attention but the practice staff could provide a small token of courtesy and notify you that they are running behind this would allow patients waiting a possibility to take care of other errands especially when facing excessive wait times. It’s not the first time experiencing lengthy wait times

Negative experience: I see this Medical Centre is raising their prices and costing nearly $50 out of pocket for a script. But now also charges $130 for new clients!!!! Disappointing

Negative experience: Never ever an appointment or a Tele health ever available. Understand times are hard, but I would literally have to tell my body to let me know three days in advance I was going to be sick in order to get medical treatment here.

Negative experience: Took my 5 week old son to see a Dr as he'd had a runny nose and cough for 4-5 days, I am a nurse myself and didn't think it was anything to serious but given the current climate we live in and the fact that it had been 4-5 days my mum guilt made me just want to make sure it wasn't anything more serious. I was told at the start of our appointment it was "probably just first time mum syndrome" he listened to his lungs and took his temperature and diagnosed "first time mum syndrome". It was incredibly condescending and not at all reassuring to yes a first time mum who was just making sure she wasn't ignoring the respiratory symptoms her 5 week old has in the midst of a pandemic. I wish I asked him to check my son's ears for peace of mind but I just wanted to get out of there. Very disappointed and won't be going back again.

Fantastic experience: Went there for the first time 1 weeks ago. The lovely receptions got me in the last appointment for that day. The doctor he was lovely and I really appreciate them seeing me in before the long weekend. As I was quiet unwell and needed antibiotics . Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Laurimar medical since it opened and although I’ve always found the receptionist helpful, I cannot thank the current reception staff enough for the help they have provided me, and my daughter, in recent times. After seeing her doctor my daughter and I were waiting for her medication at the chemist next door when she out if no where lost her right and felt faint. I ran back to the doctors and yelled out what was happening, within seconds a receptionist had a doctor come to my daughter and another receptionist arrived with a wheel chair. Thank you again to you all.

Negative experience: It's a shame the drs seem lovely but the receptionist have no empathy and down right rude and hang up on you. Just put me off going back again. Especially when it's in regards to your child. Absolutely disgusted in them.

Negative experience: Each time I have attended the reception staff are super rude, dismissive and condescending. This has been the reason I no longer attend this clinic except for a blood test. Attended today and noted that there was multiple pens sitting in holder for general use when popping down details. Noting the current climate, I politely flagged this with reception staff, stating I'm not sure if this is the clinic or the pathology but asked how they sanitise these. Was met with rude blunt remark of "thats not us, that's them" without eye contact, however, much exaggerated arm waving. I replied no problem I will flag with pathology. Got a roll of eyes and was told "speak to them" Yes ma'am that's what I said. Honestly, everyone is going it tough at the moment receiving additional attitude especially at a doctors clinic when people are already not well is not necessary, unprofessional and nasty. If you want a good experience avoid this clinic.

Negative experience: seriously rude staff, -asking them why- when a request was sent to transfer my medical files over a year and half ago why it wasn't done? and the ladies reply with an incredibly rude tone was "why ? if you haven't you needed it before now" it was like i was severely inconveniencing her and wanting my file was unnecessary. Its called covid you horrible human being, i hope you are replaced very soon as there are great gps there and you are a huge negative to the practice, if any of my staff talked to my patients that way you would be gone.

Negative experience: Thinking of going here but looking at the reviews, sounds like the reception needs to lift their game with customer services skills and management could send them to get some professional training at the least... Based on the comments about rude receptionist which is consistent, you would think twice before wanting to go to this centre though the doctors might be good. This is not a good reflection on the centre.

Negative experience: Called to ask if there was an appointment available for doctor to see my husband urgently. He had Pfizer vaccine Sunday and symptoms have not subsided 5 days after having it. Receptionist on the phone Had the audacity to ask me if he was having symptoms on Sunday then why didn’t I get him to see anyone earlier. Unhelpful. Surely this is vaccine 101 to know that sometimes the body has an immune response to a vaccine and symptoms can stick around for a couple of days. Michelle is rude.

Negative experience: Called yesterday day to see a doctor for head cold told I needed a COVID test same think happened to my little five year old son a week before we both went to other clinics and were seen straight away. Some doctors in there a great but far as reception goes never a good experience always found them rude

Negative experience: I felt invisible at reception as 2 staff members who had seen me continued to use their computers and ignore me. How hard is it to greet someone and be friendly ? I apologize for being a customer and choosing your business

Negative experience: Dissapointed & upset as I went to see Laurimar medical for an emergency slice finger they where pleasent and nice and nurse saw me straight away but then the Doctor came to see me less then 5 minutes sent me to hospital and still got charged to see the doctor. Come on... I know you charge for seeing a doctor but it was a emergency and Doctor did pretty much nothing.

Negative experience: Regular patient at this clinic, First time mother and requested to see a doctor whilst pregnant. I hadn’t seen anybody in person since 10weeks and I was 22 weeks. It was during COVID-19 but I was told “we don’t do piece of mind visits” and they refused to see me. I explained family history and they still refused. I find this disgusting and I am extremely disappointed with the service.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this Medical Clinic. The staff are amazing! Recently I had an appointment for my unwell 4yr old. I arrived at the clinic holding my nauseated son. I asked for a disposable vomit bag, which they happily handed over. I chose to stand outside the waiting room while holding my son, just in case. Shortly after, one of the staff approached me and offered us a seat in the treatment room (with the nurse). It's the small things that mean the most. THANK YOU to all the wonderful staff for having such great values. You made a difference that day!

Negative experience: saw doctor here while I was suffering ear ache. I was told that there was no infection. later that night I had to go to another clinic (Bolton st montmorency) and had the doctor there tell me that I had a clearly infected inner ear. I wonder how many other patients they miss diagnose at Laurimar medical.

Fantastic experience: Dr Bennett is amazing always listens to any issues your having and recommends the best course of action. I love that he just doesn’t hand over medication like lollies and offers alternative ways to manage pain or symptoms. Receptionists always call you back if you have any questions and are always friendly and happy to help. Never have any problems getting an appointment.

Negative experience: Regular patient here, my last visit my Dr told me to call him or the clinic if I had any issues. I called the clinic 26/08/19 around lunch time asked to speak to that Dr. “He’s with a patient” I was told. Ok no problem is there another Dr available? “No they’re all busy.” Explained it was an emergency and had an open wound and that I was told to call by my Dr there. Receptionist said sorry, no ones available. Didn’t ask any questions, what kind of emergency it was, no empathy, nothing. I said well if I can’t speak to anyone I may have to go to Emergency but my Dr told me to call. “Sorry, you’ll have to go emergency.” Waited for hours and hours in ER, by that stage the wound was unable to be stitched or sutured because of the time frame and the risk of infection is significantly increased and the scar will be giant. To whichever receptionist that was - thanks. You’re a mean, uncaring person are in the wrong industry.

Fantastic experience: Have seen most of the doctors here over the past few years and they are exceptional. It was a GP here who picked up on some subtle symptoms which led to my referall and diagnosis for a rare genetic condition which no other health service had picked up. Very caring and fantastic follow up

Positive experience: I have a chronic illness and quite complex I found dr alaric boyland an absolutely beautiful doctor whom helpt me through and extremely difficult health decline. I 100% recommend her services and others I attended with in her absence UNFORTUNATELY my review is ultimately lowered by the bullying and degrading I received from only a couple of receptionists. Most were lovely However being a victim of abuse I will never allow anyone to stand over me nor call me a liar when my appointment reminders came via sms yet she declined to agree with me There has been. Many frustrations all with reception and difficulty in getting to the Doctors due to distance of disabled parking PLEASE NOTE IF I WAS MOBILE AND STRONG ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH THE BULLYING I WOULD STILL BE THERE. DR ALFIC BOYLAN I MISS STILL EVERY DAY SHE WAS MY ROCK jill

Negative experience: Doctors are good but business is unethical they charge for fees and sometimes if you ask they say bulk bill.. so depends if you ask them at the time of booking they will bulk bill it otherwise you will be riped off with $105
