Active Nation Health Club Point Cook

Fantastic experience: Active Nation is a great way to start your fitness journey! As someone who sometimes struggles with body image and confidence it has been a great place to feel welcomed and comfortable. The gym staff are friendly and happy to help out or just have a chat about life :) I’ve been to both Point Cook and Yarraville sites and love them both, the community is focused on fitness and not on gaining social media content. Highly recommend

It has varieties of equipment for bodybuilding and 4 multi purpose racks which are really good and also they offer personal training sessions which is also beneficial to beginners who are willing to start their fitness journey. Active Nation has something for everyone. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to lead a more active lifestyle!

Fantastic experience: This has to be the most respectable and safe gym I have ever joined, and I’ve joined a lot! Everyone I have encountered is kind and respectable of others, there are always ample machines available and there is no hogging of machines or any form of intimidation. The machines are maintained well and always working, everything you need is available. The trainers are all smiles, they make their presence known but they’re not pushy, they just let you do your thing. As a woman who attends on her own, I feel safe every single time I am there. The fees are more than affordable and the 24/7 access is so convenient. I appreciate the access to the kick boxing gym next door if I want to change things up and thankful the bathrooms are always clean. I love this gym so much!!!

Fantastic experience: A great place to train, that's not only clean but has high quality equipment for any training program. The staff are friendly and helpful too. It's a great environment for all levels. If your a new to the gym or getting back on your routine then the machines and friendly welcoming environment are enough to keep you coming back and if your a seasoned trainer, you'll have enough motivation from the performance equipment, squat racks, and heavy dumbbells to stay motivated. Overall just a good gym in Point Cook to train at.

Fantastic experience: Staff and other gym members are exceptionally friendly. There’s more than enough gym equipment available with a good amount of room as well. They also run fun challenges where you have the opportunity to compete against other gym members for the chance to win prizes, which keeps things exciting.

Fantastic experience: I started in early February and the staff were incredible with the whole process. The gym is a safe place and environment to work out in and every time I leave and enter the receptionist always says hi. I’ve never had any problems with any machines or equipment and when something is out of order it is rapidly fixed/replaced Highly recommended to anyone in PointCook :)

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Active Nation and love the gym. Gym is well maintained, has required facilities and has a real good vibe. It does not get very busy and equipments are almost always available, otherwise there are always other options. Gym members are kind & considerate; wipedown equipment etc. Sign up process was smooth and Megan clearly explained membership options and cancellation process. PS: 5* for Megan, she is very professional and available if you have any doubts or questions.

Negative experience: I recently had a frustrating experience with this gym. Firstly, the facility lacks essential gym equipment, making workouts challenging. What's more infuriating is the cancellation process – they don't accommodate cancellations via phone call, adding unnecessary hassle and tricks to keep you on. To make matters worse, the manager's attitude towards these concerns was dismissive. It's disheartening when legitimate issues are met with indifference. I advise potential members to consider these drawbacks before joining a useless gym.

Fantastic experience: Greg is an amazing pt. As a nervous 51 years old wanting to get fit. Greg took the time and patience to show me what to do and why. He has helped me so much to gain my confidence in joining a gym. Active nation is a great community to train. People always say hi and wave If you are looking for a pt i could not reccomend greg enough. The passion he has in his job, his knowlegde has helped me gain strength, health and most importantly belief in myself

Fantastic experience: I have recently joined Active Nation and absolutely love it. The team - especially Kia and Greg are very warm & encouraging. I was returning to working out in a gym setting after a long gap and was very nervous. Being a small gym, the vibe of the club and Kia’s encouragement & check-ins made it less intimidating for me. The introductory PT sessions were helpful in restarting my fitness journey again. I’m glad to be a part of the Active Nation community & would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to train in a safe welcoming environment.

Fantastic experience: I love my PT sessions with trainer Greg at Active Nation. He has a way of getting the best out of you, even though you thought you had nothing in the tank. The gym itself is fairly new so equipment is of high standard. Members are curtious to the other members and wipe equipment after use, it's clean and organised. Great staff, great environment and a great place to hit your fitness goals.

For the cheapest price you will find in any membership - provides you with full access to a wide range of quality equipment. Fantastic experience: I love going to this gym - such a friendly and supportive vibe. The owners, who are affable, well organised and knowledgeable, clearly show pride in their business. The gym is always clean and well equipped with a great range of high quality equipment and the staff are approachable and attentive. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Do not join this gym, at the time of joining, they sold it to me as a small business trying to stay afloat after covid. They promised me the best deal and I agreed to a lock in contract of 12 months. After this however they kept charging me and said it would roll over and I needed to give them a 30 day notice period despite the payments being taken fortnightly? The gym will squeeze you for everything your worth when u want to leave. Although all of these things are in the contract they give u, it is not what the people tell u when u sign up. They tell you, you are free to leave whenever you want once the period is over. Take your money to a big gym that can assure transparency. They are going to reply to this review by playing the victim and how I’m u fairly attacking a small business. Nothing new, another business that just wants to squeeze profits from customers. I still don’t understand what they need 30 days for if they can call u a day after u stop the direct debit. They also charge fortnightly so why do they need 30 days?

Negative experience: DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM They tell you that there is no lock in contract and then make you pay fees up to 30+ days this was not mentioned to me at time of sign up and the communication is poor- I didn’t have an opportunity to read the agreement and fine print in full at time of signing up. They are quick to charge late fees despite the number of times we have paid in advance. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Fantastic experience: I like this brand new gym. I joined with its VIP membership offer. There are many new machines that other older gyms do not have. My first cardio session was fun and get to try some new cardio equipments. The owner, Gil and Kia are really nice New review: I do weekly personal training with PT/ owner Gil Kim. He's helped me improved on my strength. Most importantly, he teaches the proper use of techniques and postures, so I can confidently workout on my own. PT cost is very affordable and worthwhile.

Fantastic experience: Clean, organised and kept up to high standards, I always feel great walking through the doors to Active Nation. Gil (the owner/PT) is the most friendly, polite person you could ask for! He gets to know you by name and genuinely cares about you. I’m comfortable training with him and look forward to more sessions. He is always around with a smile ready to greet you and ask how you are.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad this health club opened up when it did as I needed a change and I did not want to join another commercial type of gym. The club is clean and it has a variety of new and high quality equipment. The membership is inexpensive. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and very approachable. I have been getting personal training since I started and I am very happy. The personal training is affordable and very professional. I am pushed and encouraged during my sessions. My trainer teaches me in a way that uses positive reinforcement and empowers me to learn proper technique when training on my own. I have gained strength, confidence and a much needed renewed vigour towards my health and fitness goals. Thank you so much Gil and Kia for welcoming and supporting me.
