Negative experience: The doctors and clinic itself is great. What they need to change is their rude receptionists. I get that you sometimes need to be stern with some but that tone doesn't work for everyone. They need to sack Liz and find a decent replacement who doesn't act like she owns the place.

Negative experience: Every time I visit the clinic is a nightmare they only allow the patient with an appointment and when have one never seen on time in fact will always have to wait minimum an a hour more than the time that was given totally disappointing.

Fantastic experience: A Positive Experience at HeathWest Medical & Specialist Centre! I recently visited HeathWest Medical & Specialist Centre as my usual clinic wasn’t available for an appointment, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Service The reception staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional—not just to me, but to all patients in the waiting area. They created a welcoming atmosphere and handled queries with a smile. Wait Time My overall wait time was around 30 minutes, which included arriving 10 minutes early to complete paperwork. Unfortunately, the information I entered into their online portal didn’t transfer over, but the staff made the process smooth and efficient. Comfort The waiting areas were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. With three separate waiting areas, there’s ample space for social distancing and privacy. The seating was comfortable, and there’s even an enclosed play area for children, which adds a family-friendly touch. Professional Care I saw Dr. M. Al-Fallooji, who has recently joined this medical centre. He was wonderful—patient, professional, and thorough in answering all my questions. He clearly explained the need for additional tests, the process involved, and how long it would take to get the results. As someone who rarely visits the doctor, I appreciated his approach to setting clear expectations and making me feel confident in my care. Costs The consultation and tests cost $86, with an immediate Medicare rebate of $38. This fee helps cover the clinic’s running costs. While this is a ballpark figure, there are exemptions, so it’s best to confirm with your GP when booking. Additional Services This centre offers a range of services, including dentistry, pathology, podiatry, dietitian consultations, and family planning. Parking and Accessibility The clinic has a dedicated car park for patients, and there’s additional parking available across the road. For those coming from the west (Tarneit/Derrimut), note that you’ll need to do a U-turn as the clinic faces north on Morris Road. Overall Impression HeathWest Medical & Specialist Centre exceeded my expectations. With minimal wait times, professional and friendly staff, and a comfortable environment, this might become our go-to alternative clinic. Appointments seem easier to secure here compared to my regular centre, where bookings often require days or weeks of advance notice. Special thanks to Dr. Al-Fallooji and the HeathWest team for their excellent care. I highly recommend this centre to anyone looking for quality medical services.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this clinic for nearly a year now and I genuinely appreciate the warmth of the staff. Aman at the front desk is always so kind and welcoming. Fiona is just beautiful with a lovely smile that really lights up the place and makes you feel at ease even if I've only seen her a handful of times. Dr. Albarki is amazing, he takes the time to listen and always ensures I feel comfortable during my visits. It's no surprise that he's everywhere. I’ve seen Dr Deggu as well and he is truly kind. I highly recommend this clinic!

They work and progress very well despite the demands of COVID and increased client volume. Dr. Albarki was very friendly and professional, and made the process very easy and painless.

Negative experience: waited a while to do this review. but after some recent good experiences at another clinic I thought these issues needed to be aired. I've had 3 unacceptable experiences at this clinic. ¹st was when I needed a abscess on my face cut open. Not only did the doctor refuse to give me a general anaesthetic, but they also removed a mole without telling me. As you can imagine, having your face cut open and a mole removed without pain relief was excruciating and traumatic!. ²nd was when I had an abscess on leg, once I was prepped and moments away from the procedure the doctor informed me that a student would be viewing, I was already embarrassed being in such a compromised position with my pants off, now I had a young women in her 20's watching. this should have been approved by ME prior. ³rd was when I went to see the doctor about a mental health issue. after opening up to the doctor about severe anxiety and stress I was feeling and the need for some immediate help I was met with chuckles of laughter and giving the advice to " go home and get some rest"... I left the clinic feeling completely unheard and with a sense of hopelessness. it wasn't until later at another clinic I got the appropriate treatment. it's not all doom and gloom and I have also had some positive experiences here, but I will never go back unless it's a emergency and no other clinics have appointments.

Negative experience: Had to transfer to another clinic and filled out the request form. I particularly wanted the MRI results which I had last year. This clinic charged me $45 for the transfer. When I booked an appointment with my new clinic I found out that only half my medical record had been transferred and MRI wasn't in it. The appointment was a waste of time because of that. I contacted HealthWest to ask for my MRI and after talking to the receptionists, nurse and the manager, I received the results on my personal email. As it turned out, my doctor still hadn't got it, so at least I could forward it to them. Bloody waste of my time and money.

Fantastic experience: Excellent doctors. My family attends here and we see Dr. Dalaali who is thorough and attentive to details . Very happy and satisfied with her managements and advices . On some occasions we had appointments with other doctors, where we got the same level of care. Reception staff are also very welcoming with smiling faces. Your medical needs are met here . Negative experience: one star is way too much for this medical centre. I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent phone call with one of your managers. During the call, I was treated with a significant lack of respect and professionalism. The manager was extremely rude, consistently talking over me and not allowing me to explain my situation. Additionally, I was accused of cheating the system without being asked any necessary questions to understand my circumstances. This experience was both frustrating and disheartening, especially when I was seeking assistance and clarity. Fantastic experience: Caring doctors . We have been seeing Dr.Wasan for long time. We feel we are looked after very well. Staff in general very nice , helpful and courteous. Location is convenient with private parking onsite . Lab and physiotherapy are available too. Kind regards

Negative experience: Worst experience, booked an appointment for my child’s 4 year old immunisation, then had doctor’s consult and he instruct his nurse to give immunisation. I had submitted his immunisation green book as well. Over confident nurse give my son flu vaccine instead of 4 year old immunisation without checking his green book where it is clearly mentioned he already had flu vaccine a month ago. Usually parents does not check the needles what vaccine they are giving as they trust the medical team. I realise when the nurse asked me if i am getting for my 1 year old son too. I rushed to doctor to know the outcome.. doctor also confirmed that he instruct to give 4 year old immunisation not the flu vaccine. Doctor assure me that this is a mistake but not to panic as it will work like a booster vaccine and also helped me to confirm with the Royal children’s hospital immunisation department. But this was still a mistake but instead of accepting the nurse was arguing to me that she confirmed with me before. Here, She use word “immunisation” instead of ‘flu vaccine’. During giving needle also she dropped most of the liquid outside and gave another half and needled the child. I asked later with my friend working in same sector said this is not a good practise to needle twice as it drop some. Overall she is a disaster to me.

Fantastic experience: Degloved my finger at work and had to go there for my 3 day check up, firstly the receptionist was warm and welcoming on the phone and in person, nurse Ruby and her trainee couldn’t of been any nicer, we’re so gentle and genuinely good people. Fantastic experience: The Doctors are good on the weekdays recommend Dr. Etta and Dr. Dalali, The reception staff are Fabolous especially Liz who’s always got a smile when she greets us, she goes over and beyond in her role, Healthwest are very lucky to have her. Especially during Covid these people have looked after my family, for that thank you and 5 stars!

Positive experience: Five stars for Dr Etta. She's amazing, shows genuine personal interest and kindness. A beautiful person and a great doctor too! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars to the clinic is because some of the receptionists can be terse. I don't like this. You are the face of the clinic. Please be nice. Negative experience: Very disappointed with the nurse. I got appointment for 0345, I was running late which I apologise with staff name Ruby but she react so rudely. She even talked with other staff in body language which makes me felt we are mistreated. I won’t recommend .

Positive experience: Had an appointment for an immunisation for my son with Dr. Saad. The Dr was very professional and patient caring. However, I found the receptionist to be very rude and unfriendly. This is not the medical centre culture I know of as I too work in the medical sector.

Negative experience: 1 star is too many! The worst clinic I have ever been to in Melbourne! I walked out of there completely shaken to my core as to how I was treated that day. Upon speaking to the owner, she took zero responsibility as to what took place and had zero care either. She said that she only owns the building and there was nobody that I could therefore provide feedback to. One of the male “doctors” told me they wouldn’t even see me because I didn’t state to the reception when booking my appointment what this private medical appointment was for which actually sounds like breach of privacy and utter nonsense! He stated that what I needed done need a longer appt which is completely false. The appointment usually takes less then 5 minutes from my 2 decades of experience in this. The doctors were rude and abrupt, the owner even agreed that their policy and clearer entry requirements have failed them and should be communicated upfront to patients to not waste their time travelling to see them. She had zero regard to my medical conditions and told me that they are invalid which have actually been medically certified as valid by a different clinic. I accidentally booked myself to go there and I will never step a foot in that clinic again.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Saad Albarki saved my daughters life!! Without his amazing actions on Sunday the 11th of October 2020 she wouldn't be here with us today. Words can't describe how incredibly thankful we are. Thank-you will never be enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been under the care of Dr. Irvy Etta and have always appreciated every consultation with her. She is very thorough, attentive , Encouraging and always follows up promptly whenever she receives my results. Whether a Telephonic Consultation or in person consultation Dr. Etta answers all my questions with an approach that looks into many different factors. She also never makes me feel like I am wasting/taking up her time. I am almost surprised that she remembers details from our consults as I have not felt as heard and cared for by a GP as I have with Dr. Etta. I will always recommend her to any of my friends or family!

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say a big Thank you to the team at health-west medical, from the lovely receptions, nurses to doctors. I have been seeing dr Dalaali for over 10 years and am extremely happy have since moved and travel to continue to see her. A few years ago we started seeing dr Ahmed and he is so good with my children they adore him, Dr Etta is very nice to. I love the fact that no matter which doctor is on I have confidence in them all. Can’t express how happy I am with the clinic. The receptionist are always trying to accommodate my family and are always extremely friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble. Negative experience: Terrible service and even worse so called health professional

Fantastic experience: A lovely and professional clinc. I discovered them when I lived only a 5minute walk away, and am so glad I did. Dr Etta has been a godsend to me, helping treat me over the course of 2 years, identifying elements many previous doctors dismissed and let fester. She has been very honest (both comically and brutal) and I've always come away from the clinic feeling happy, uplifted, and helped. Even today, when I came in for a check up, the nurses and receptionist said hello to me by name and always make me feel welcome while maintaining excellent professionalism. I feel very strong that, if not for their help, my life would still be quite negative. Though I've moved away, I will drive 30minutes to attend this Doctor instead of looking for anyone more local and convenient. Though I don't see them regularly, I hesitate to move further as, in my 37 years, I've never had a GP as supportive, encouraging, wise, informed, helpful, and welcoming as her. I almost hesitate to recommend the clinic to others because I have found it almost to be TOO good and, greedily, I almost want to keep it to myself. But the help they provide is too lovely to horde, and I recommend anyone who needs help to see them if/when they can.

Fantastic experience: Best experience so far as compare with other medical centres in Truganina and Tarneit. Doctor Hussain Ahmed is the best doctor they have. The nurse Ruby gave us always good service. The manger Rhizelle is very nice too. She looked after us every time. Special thanks Docter Hussain Ahmed as whole my family is so pleased with his way of treatment,his skill to speak our language, his humbleness to help his patients which feels like he treat us as jis own family as well & he is so friendly with my kids. Apart from that rest of the staff is so lovely specially Mani Randhawa, Hina & Liz. Many thanks to all of you and your services.

Negative experience: If system can give 0 star, I would give it to this clinic. Each receptionist has their own policy. They don't have a consistent procedure. Be careful what the receptionist will say to you and have it recorded or else when you come back it will be a different requirement again. Looks like the receptionists dont have trainings for their policies and procedures. I will not recommend them until they fix their workflow. :( :( :(

Negative experience: Waited 1 hour and just walked out. No communication between staff and client for that hour. No explanation why doctor wasn't able to see client.

Negative experience: Got book 3 pm with doc albarki and when got there never been told doc is out of clinic after half hour receptionist was telling some one else doc is out of clinic then we came to know doctor is out of clinic its been 40 minutes wait he is still out but receptionist keep lying he just coming in....he came by 3 45 and was very rude never apologise not sure do they mention this to gov when claiming money. Un believeable disgusting how a clinic or gp could fool their patient.

Negative experience: Stay away ... Totally scam and unprofessional medical centre. For any documents you need you need appointment. They don't care about your suffering they only interested in appointment (more money) If doctor ask to do a covid test do not go with their refferal instead go to government site for testing. Otherwise you have to wait till doctor appointment to know the result. And if you go to government site for testing they let you know result as soon as it's available. When I explained this to receptionist she said it's your choice where to go for testing.

Positive experience: I have actually taken the services from almost all doctors in this clinic and they all are great health providers . One less star only becoz the waiting time is too long but it is still ok as doctors are doing their duty they are not chit chatting with the patients , listening them wisely and making opinion with pt , hence i dont mind for that . I wish this clinic will have pharmacy open soon as been closed from long time and it is s great hassle to go to other place to get medicine.

Negative experience: Management is earning money from public, kindly invest time in monitoring your own security devices , Staff couldn’t even get information from their security cameras where the patient left from their clinic , negligence of providing information after waiting for 1 hour during the critical time costed a life . Hope this won’t be repeated in future and works for public. GP and staff who has been involved during this incident has not even called back for the patient’s wellness which shows how responsible they are towards their patients.

Fantastic experience: I now live 30 minutes away from the clinic but it's still my number 1 choice. Reception staff are actually quite friendly and prompt, and once I took my mother in law in for chest pains and the receptionist took quick action to make sure shes ok while she waited for the doctor. Liz went above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of my mother in law and I can't thank her enough for that. The doctors are all very attentive and take their time assessing the patient. I understand that sometimes wait times can fluctuate, but it's a small price to pay for your health. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Dr. Choy, Dr. Dalali and George, and they're all extremely good doctors who actually care about their patients. I can never praise this clinic enough for how much they've helped me.

Negative experience: This is a terrible clinic. Receptionists should work in a factory total lack of people skills. I never felt comfortable attending this clinic but it was so handy being close to home. My daughter was constipated for one week she is only 6mths the Dr gave me a script and said if she dosnt go within the next two weeks to come back. ? 2 weeks is that a joke. Well i ran put of medication and booked an appointment. Upon arriving the receptionist said they will not be seeing me anymore because i had my medical notes sent to a new clinic. Totally in unapologetic and blunt. I then asked if i could fill i a new patient form an she said nope sorry. Wonder why i transferred my notes. Congratulations health west on being an absoult let down.

Negative experience: Very poor service. Staff is friendly but useless. Terrible Reception and Management. TWO times I got an invoice for the service (same one) I didn't ask for. Had to argue with the manager to get rid of fake invoices. Reception staff is not trained to use a computer for simple daily tasks.

Negative experience: Your new dr hosh krotch hossein used a cream put the tube directly on the blood and got it in the tube thought we didnt notice especially when i told him to throw it out! Instead he put it back for someone else to use contaminated by ones blood! And then he rudely told us to go to his room NOW! You know what i did you filthy pig i took the liberty of throwing it out myself for the safetly of everyone else i officially have no faith in this clinic let alone its hygiene!!!!

Fantastic experience: After travelling interstate from Adelaide, My son developed hayfever and symptoms of pollen ashtama. I took him to Health West in the morning hours on 03/12/2016. After speaking with the receptionist she immediately asked me to fill the form and also informed the available doctor Dr. Chan at the same time. Dr. Chan attended to my son even before i had completed the form . His immediate action and referal letter to Sunshine Hospital has saved my son from going in to serious illness. Thank you Dr. Chan and Thank you to the friendly staff on the reception.
