DPV Health Medical Centre in Mill Park is dedicated to providing quality healthcare services with a focus on patient satisfaction. Many visitors appreciate the clean and organized environment of the clinic, with friendly staff who are often described as knowledgeable and compassionate. Many users have highlighted positive experiences with specific doctors, particularly Dr. Syed Arif Ahmed and Dr. Jhelum Paralikar, who are recognized for their thorough understanding of patient concerns.
Despite the positive feedback, there have been numerous complaints regarding long wait times, with many patients expressing frustration at having to wait beyond their scheduled appointments. DPV Health Medical Centre – Mill Park: Reviews
Negative experience: Worst clinic, my appointment was at 12:15pm and wasn't called through until 1:19pm. Just to be treated like a number in the room. Terrible
Negative experience: MY advice to this practice, read the comments of your patients and listen to them rather than dismissal. The following seems to be a common summary of patient complaints. The doctor didn't give my concerns the attention they deserved." This suggests a lack of proper consideration for your well-being. This is the 3rd time I have edited my review and it only gets worse. The infection has unfortunately spread through the whole practice and they do not seem to know how to cure it. If all you need is a certificate for a day off then go there. If you and a medical condition go else where. Unfortunately no one takes the time to listen anymore to the patients. I'm not sure if that is the doctor's or the lack of time the doctors have. The practice has gone from me giving 5 stars 10 years ago to 1 star. Below is part of the review before I added this comment. It is a travesty that the front end staff now are so woeful that we never ever want to go back. No compassion and no understanding, even when mistakes are their fault. Judging by the applying customer service today they have to field a lot of calls from upset customers. This is my personal opinion based on mine and my family's personal experience at this medical practice.
Negative experience: Had a negative consult with Dr Syed Ahmed who is very quick to oppress and torment the 'inferior' patient based on their looks prima facieand yet he is not a prize possession himself with his unkempt appearance and presentation either. Try shaving your facial hair and presenting more professionally ok.
Negative experience: They are making money through Medicare by forcing you to see a GP for flu injection. When I protested to see a GP for a flu injection (which I have taken for past 15 years), I was forces to see a GP. The practice manager Linda Colliver and the GP falsely claimed that it is a Government requirement for to see a GP, even though I clearly advised I have been taking the injection for years! Linda was very sarcastic when I tried to point this out. I don't have to pay from my pocket for this but I have an issue when they rort the Medicare system. THIS IS WRONG!

Negative experience: Doctor himself made a Telehealth appointment for me at 3:15 pm and decided to not call at all, I called the clinic to follow up my appointment just to find out that doctor is not in the clinic at all. And after they called him , he said that he called me twice and didn't get an answer which clearly was a lie. I was waiting for this call all day to receive my results and did not have a single missed call from the clinic or an unknown caller disappointing

Fantastic experience: I call the Diabetic Educator Janet , a Wonderful Woman who actually takes the time to care about the patient and encourages them for the effort they put into looking after oneself, her communication skills is something a lot of doctors can learn from as well as her abundance of knowledge about Diabetes and how the condition effects everyone , the lady is one of the best aspect of this establishment and I hope that people support such great help .

Negative experience: I try to be as patient as I can be and as polite as possible. It’s ironic that when you call them they have a pre-recorded message to respect their staff, and while I agree with that entirely, I don’t see the respect being shown to patients. There is a lack of respect for people’s time and needs. I made a telehealth appointment for a script for my dad. I make this appointment every two weeks. When making the appointment I even confirmed my phone number to ensure that the right number was called. The appointment time comes and goes and no call. 1 hour later, I call the clinic. They tell me it was a face to face. Which is not what I booked. I explained that now I am not sure when I can take a call due to my work commitments. Then about 35 mins later I missed a call from the doctor because I was in a meeting. I call the clinic and had to explain everything all over again. Most of the day passes and no phone call. In the afternoon I go physically into the clinic and I then have to explain it all o er again. Where’s the care factor? Where’s the respect for your patients time? Where the compassion for people?

Negative experience: Highly infuriating experience with someone who is not confident in their profession. My seven month old son needed his bloods reviewed to ensure his health has improved, Sui who was supposed to take my son's bloods was incredibly pessimistic, passive-aggressive and incompetent. Throughout the entire interaction she kept saying that my baby was difficult despite he wasn't crying while she tried to find a vein, and kept saying this is a difficult task while kept commenting that I attended the clinic alone without my child's father present to help with the bloods being taken. She then continued to say that the northern hospital has more assistance and she's only one person in taking blood from a baby, she attempted only once and extracting the blood was unsuccessful, she then told me to go to the northern hospital to get the bloods done. I became quite upset and furious that my time was wasted jabbing my son and this woman refused to continue to attempt to get the bloods completed 'because he's just a baby'. I reminded her he's had blood taken from him before and this needs to be completed considering she refused to continue and wasn't confident in extracting blood from my son, I reminded her that she's being paid for a job she is not confident in and this is an inconvenience for my son and I. After attending the Northern Hospital they advised me extracting the blood through my son's foot was advised for a baby, not through the arm first, they advised me that Mill Park's DPV should not be trying to extract blood through the arm with babies especially ones that cannot walk. Don't bother wasting your time getting your bloods done especially if your baby needs verification they're in good health.

Negative experience: Terrible service Dr couldn’t follow the conversation I was trying to have and told me to go to an emergency department for a non emergency shoulder pain.

Negative experience: If you are in need of a telehealth appointment, do not book with DPV Millpark. There is clearly no communication between doctors and the admin staff. I had booked a telehealth appointment for 10:15am on a weekday but had received a voicemail 10:42am that I had missed my appointment. I had been siting beside my phone since 8am to prepare for my appointment - there was also no record on my phone of a missed call from the clinic at all prior to this voice mail. I called the clinic to check what had happened and I'm still waiting 5.5 hours later for my telehealth appointment, with no indication of when I might be able to speak with a doctor. Also be aware that if you book an appointment through Health Engine, it will ask for your payment details as way of securing your appointment booking - DPV Millpark DOES NOT receive these payment details. I was only made aware of this when I had to call through to DPV Millpark to check on my missing telehealth appointment and the admin staff member asked for my payment details.

Negative experience: Had a telehealth consult (due to being covid positive) with Dr Syed Ahmed for a failed root canal, got my tooth redressed few days prior, but I needed something for the pain as panadol wasn't helping due to infection. Dr Syed Ahmed treated me like a junkie. He indirectly accused me of being a drug user (saying he could see every medication I've ever been on, and asked me if I remembered a medication I was on 4 years ago at the hospital I had my daughter at, I sad I had nothing to hide), it made me feel horrible. As an indigenous person, I felt dehumanised. Avoid this Doctor at all costs.
Fantastic experience: Thank you..Dr Jhelum paralikar..n thank you DPV Health..it was good experience
Negative experience: The reason for my low review is simply because the lack of respect of patients time this clinics demonstrates. Do not visit if you don’t allow at least an extra hour. They are good with health care but the waiting times are frustrating. First appointment of the day and still waited 40 mins. It shows a lack of respect for patients.
Negative experience: Waited 2 hours to be seen, make sure the receptionist marks you off when you arrive as you could be missed even though you ‘checked in’.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, knowledgeable doctors who actually listen to the concerns & needs of their patients, & are happy to recommend other colleagues when their own expertise may be limited. I would fully recommend DPV Mill Park to anyone.
Negative experience: I've visited this place 3 times, always a 45-1hr wait after your appt time. Then the DR will rush you through like cattle. No more bulk billing so now you gotta pay for the bad service
Fantastic experience: Receptionist is always helpful and friendly. Dr. Syed Arif Ahmed shows great consideration for his patients. He look after my parents well. Thanks.
Fantastic experience: Dr Arif Ahmed
Negative experience: I was told by my podiatrist to contact my doctor re a care plan . Today I spoke to Dr Amed who informed me that the phone consults were for SICK people and that I shouldn’t have called . I was doing what I was informed to do . I was so disgusted with that reply that I won’t be returning to see him , I have been going to the clinic for years . Terrible !!!!
Fantastic experience: Dr Jhelum at DPV health is talented and very easy going. She cares for her patients and remembers every details from previous visits. She makes the patient feel comfortable and her advices are practical and genuine. She has excellent knowledge on latest medicine. She is good listener & understand patients pain. I highly recommend .
Positive experience: Excellent doctors and support staff. Highly recommend Dr. Syed Areef Ahmed, a really nice and highly professional GP. He's very knowledgeable and courteous.
Fantastic experience: First time attending the clinic. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Saw Dr Ahmed who was very knowledgeable and personable. Will be coming back to see him in the future.
Negative experience: I attended multiple times. Initially I found the treating Dr attentive.Later the opposite , failed to do basic things like medication reviews. . I changed GPs . The practice would not give me my medical records .
Fantastic experience: Dr Ahmed is thorough and patient
Negative experience: Management of this place really needs to see this. Your clinic has great doctors. But.. You book an appointment. You arrive 10 min earlier. They make you wait an hour to see the doctor!! And this happens almost every single time. It’s an absolute joke!! It’s called appointment for a reason.!
Negative experience: Dr Pavani Sathasivam is an absolute joke. She's rude and uncaring. She flat out refused to listen to my symptoms and dismissed any that didn't fit into her idea of what I had. She also decided that I didn't need a medical certificate without even asking me; she just said "You don't need a medical certificate" and then offered one to my partner. She then told me to take medication that she should have known I couldn't take because of one of my conditions and did not like being corrected. She laughed at my partner when she was trying to help and describe my symptoms. I became very ill in the appointment and she said she'd give me some medication but didn't, instead saying that I had to leave because she had other patients. To top it all off... she lied about giving me a prescription! "No No, I don't need to give you anything. It's electronic so it's been sent to your phone". Interesting that I never received that electronic prescription. I was absolutely disgusted. If you're told that you have an appointment with this woman, cancel it and save yourself the time.
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed, I have been attending this clinic for almost 6 years Dr Ahmed has been my doctor that entire time. I was just advised today that Mill Park will not be doing bulk billing and that payment of $75 would be required at a minimum. I wouldn't mind paying if the administration team was a little more competent and it didn't take so long to actually get through to speak to someone at the clinic. Even since they rebranded it hasn't been the same. Rita who used to be on reception was amazing. So disappointed that you have taken away bulk billing.
Negative experience: Telehealth phone call did not occur at all. Receptionist phoned 25 minutes after scheduled appointment, to say the doctor would call me. She never did.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic doctors. I went to see Dr Syed Arif Ahmed and he was very kind and knowledgeable. My 3-year-old son and I have also seen Dr Jhelum Paralikar previously who was also great to both of us. The receptionists are always lovely and I would recommend this doctors practice!
Negative experience: Waited over 45 minutes past our appointment time with patients coming in with no appointment being seen ahead of us. Reception staff very un helpful and hard to understand. Will not be going back here.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and caring. The receptionist Gabriella was very empathetic, kind and helpful. The doctor was also great and had a very good bedside manner. We had a very positive Telehealth appointment experience.
Fantastic experience: Great service, easy to get an appointment. Lovely staff, peace of mind when you have an unwell child with any sort of cold or respiratory symptoms.
Negative experience: Usually have a good experience with staff however they have changed processes at the Respiratory clinic and was very disgruntled that I was late when I arrived on time and was waiting in the car. I apologised for my error as I didn't catch his instruction over the phone earlier. After that, the doctor hurriedly checked my son over and just gave me my carer's certificate with very little tact in my opinion. Made me feel very small about getting my sick child reviewed or assessed when GP would not even see him because of symptoms. Disappointed this morning.
Negative experience: Do not recommend going to DVP Respiratory clinic if you are unable to get an appointment with your family gp. I had a sore throat, couldn’t go to work and also needed a medical certificate. I made an appointment online and they called me twice to confirm if I will be showing up to the appointment and what’s the reason for my appointment. Prior to arriving I completed the new visitor form with all my details etc. I arrive 10mins before my appointment and the security guard says they have been waiting for me as if I’m late. The clinics was not busy. I arrive and the nurse asks me the same questions they’ve asked over the phone. The doctor finally comes and asks me if I want my throat checked or just the medical certificate. Yes of course I would like to get checked. He tells me to stand up so he can check my throat. After a quick check, he goes to get a medical certificate and hands it to me then walks off. Never have I ever been looked at in a judgmental way or been checked in a rushed way. Do not recommend visiting. They’re rude, unprofessional and don’t give you the medical attention you deserve as a patient.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and lovely staff..I had appointment at respiratory clinic in person & over the phone too..in both ways the service I received was so good. The staff was very helpful, efficient & professional. Thank you to the doctor & staff for providing such a good service & a fantastic customer service experience as well.
Fantastic experience: I went to this clinic around a month ago. The clinic and the doctor, Shiraz Mahkri, were very respectful and understanding. When I first approached him, he seemed very calm and outgoing, and then we discussed my issues. Throughout the whole appointment I had with him, he was listening to each little detail. He then came up with solutions and it has helped me so much. Thank you. I am extremely grateful. Thank you so much, Shiraz Mahkri, for your lovely work towards helping me.
Fantastic experience: A welcoming place to begin with. The staff we're very friendly and professional both in person and in phone conversation. They accomodate me even in a short notice. The staff nurse see me straightaway soon as I aarrive. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and great staff I see doctor Arriff he’s very professional and caring
Negative experience: Had to get blood test and ECG a very unorganised nurse who seemed very unsure of what to do completed ECG before I dressed she brought in next patient ( female)who was embarrassed as I response was a nervous giggle from nursecontacted centre and was assured I'd get a call NOTHING Obviously not concerned about patients privacy
Fantastic experience: At DPV Health Medical Centre-Millpark, I see my Endocrinologist Dr.Henry Wong and My Diabetes Nurse Reeta Singh, both are amazing ..... I also have my blood tests done there.. They have a great team at Reception, they always greet you with a smile and are very helpful... Place is bright and clean, plenty of free parking... I would thoroughly recommend this place...
Negative experience: Worst experience with their male receptionist name Naresh. Never let patient finished talking and had full on argument about new patient registration form for full 10 minutes! At the end of conversation and he never forget to blame and offend patient about the error on the form rather than providing solutions on problem. 0 customer service 0 patience compare to admin staffs.
Negative experience: If possible I would give DpV milkpark clinic zero, this is the worst medical centre administration I have ever seen… They would have hire more responsible staff specifically the receptionist. I have been waiting for last 3 month for my daughter’s medical records transferred but they are giving me excuses. I have to filled up my request form and two times they have no idea where the request forms are. And third time I am still not sure they already send it or not. My daughter has a condition where she need to see child specialist and without the documents I couldn’t make my GP understand why I daughter need child specialist. And Right now after 5 appointments they don”t even have my daughter’s details. WoW. They actually made me clinically depressed…
Negative experience: I don't usually write reviews and tend to let business know directly. But this actually was the only way I can communicate and get in touch with DPV. I'm sure it is due to surge in demand, but I had to cancel an appointment and tried 5 times to call to no avail. A nurse who was organising a second nurse to assist my daughter getting her covid vaccine (she has phobic responses to needles) kept ringing me during my work hours and leaving impatient (understandably) voicemails . I would call back and phone would ring out. Then I got the automated text to confirm or cancel only 40 mins before the appointment. I was in a meeting so could only text 20 mins before the appointment to cancel. By then it was too late and received a text saying it wasn't accepted. Very frustrating and I am sorry to think the nurse (who was lovely and helpful) would have concluded that I ignored her. DPV, you need to have more alternatives for communication e.g. email, options via health engine etc. At the very least please send out automated SMS messages 24 hrs before and not give only a 40 min window to respond. My aim wasn't to rant but to say - If there is a representative who is going to read this review: could you please identify the nurse who was calling on 13th May to help my daughter with her needlephobia... and tell her I'm sorry, I appreciate her attempts... I wasnt ignoring her! (I have filed feedback on complaints link since writing)
Negative experience: They can't even help with Medicare?? Handed paperwork back to receptionist and she just left it on the counter with all my personal information present, this place doesn't hold up to the privacy act. Hour wait time after appointment. No help, no respect for time and NO privacy???
Negative experience: The Mill park Center Not answering the phone on the time or getting back to you .
Fantastic experience: Very accommodating personnel. Enough space in the waiting lounge even with social distancing. Only complain is the parking in front of the facility, but there are parking few meters at the side. I enjoyed talking to the medical personnel who administered my booster shot.
Dear Zaldy, We are so grateful for your positive rating. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us and the community. Best wishes, DPV Health Team
Negative experience: Dr Syed Arif Ahmed is the worst doctor I've ever come across. Rude & unhelpful. I asked him to help me organise a referral to see a dermatologist to assist me in finding and treating the cause for my eczema. He said no, and that I couldn't afford it, I explained to him that money wasn't an issue as I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to find a fix for it. He then said "no" again and hung up on me.

Fantastic experience: I had my 3rd booster Pfizer vaccination today. The girl at reception (Amanda, same name as me lol) was really friendly and welcoming. My appointment was bang on time and the nurse was really friendly, efficient and the jab was pain free. Great first experience.
Dear Amanda, We are so grateful for your positive rating. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us and the community. Best wishes, DPV Health Team

Fantastic experience: DPV Mill Park is undoubtedly the most professional, organised and clean medical centres I have attended. Dr Syed will always listen to your issues and concerns before providing a medical diagnosis. Allison the Clinical Nurse is always so helpful and makes sure you are well informed with what's happening. Rita, Amanda and Sriyani always greet you with a smile and have been great in assisting myself and mother with making bookings. They are such a great team. I highly recommend this Medical Centre!
Fantastic experience: Dr Syed Arif Ahmed is undoubtedly one of the most competent and trusted Doctors I’ve had at a local surgery in years or if ever when thinking on this. Trust is a huge need when putting your health in the hands of another person. Every visit I’d have my guard up but his knowledge and kindness has and most importantly given me a trusted doctor that will be with me in the future. I recommend Arif percent.
Negative experience: Where to begin, recently my wife and I were refused appointments to get our medical history so we could get Covid vaccinations under 1B (needing pfizer as we are both under 50) we were told appointments were being saved for people who actually need them. This is also the only clinic we have been to that have charged us to fill out some paperwork for vicroads for my wife. The nurse in charge of getting blood as well doesn't seem to be able to do so easily under any circumstances. Add to that the fact at least one of the doctors doesn't really listen and has her own ideas she would rather insist on every time (like surgery for a weight issue) instead of dealing with the cause of it. I would encourage people to only come here as a last resort. We will be switching GPs and never coming back.
Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience, I have a medical exemption from wearing a mask and they still tried to make me wear one, and no, I do not need a permit or a letter from anyone to do so. Refused to let me see the doctor and then called the police on me to throw me out. This is an absolute abuse. I will be taking them to court for discrimination. Oh and Dr Arif is the most rude arrogant Dr I have ever met. It's like he hates treating patients. Dr Arif, you are not better than anyone but in fact the way you are is lower than the soles of my shoes.

Positive experience: Well the place is pristine and clean, but the doctors seem to struggle with time management ( how hard is it to call on time when I am the first appointment in the morning? and I guess the admin staff have to deal with the onslaught) . I do not like the power that Doctors have ( and the lack of accountability to patient care) but the admin staff are lovely and sweet. so be nice to everyone doing their job and encourage them to do better

Negative experience: I called this morning and spoke to the receptionist Sarah. I was informed that no appointments are available for the 24/11/20. This information is understandable had it not been for the rude and self important attitude exhibited by the receptionist. One would think that a simple receptionist job with a pre requisite involving people skills would deter such a person from seeking this position. I am a Registered Nurse and know a thing or two about how to talk to people.

Negative experience: So, you know how you're waiting in a waiting room and there are people around you, so your appointment runs late? Ever sat in a waiting room alone for half an hour past your appointment time? I can understand delays, but I can't understand what keeps someone for half an hour when there's only one person to be seen.

Fantastic experience: Nice and friendly people
Thank you Norma!
Negative experience: Very bad experience. The worst GP I have ever seen. He does not care how you feel and is not helpful. Even not respond your question.

Negative experience: The doctor who originally was supposed to see us did not show up and we were not told about it. We were seen by another doctor after 50 minutes of waiting.

Fantastic experience: I always go there ... they are way better than any other clinics in the area. The doctors are great it's always quiet not jam packed with sick people like the other clinics.
Negative experience: Absolutely the worst GPs I've been to in my life. Refused to call me by my actual name, as it is on my Birth Certificate, because I hadn't changed my name on my Medicare profile yet. The doctor didn't understand the medications I was on. Basically, the receptionist and doctor were useless every step of the way. Won't ever be back. I'd give 0/5 but 1/5 is the lowest rating I'm allowed to give.
Negative experience: Uncaring customer service
Fantastic experience: Fantastic doctors and clinicians. Highly recommended. I would take the negative reviews here with a grain of salt.
Negative experience: Even 1 star is too much for them..
Positive experience: Easy to book an appointment online anytime. Female doctor is well spoken and kind. As with any doctor there is sometimes a wait.
Fantastic experience: The doctor was really good and i got the appointment on the same day
Fantastic experience: Dr Ahmed is a great doctor, always takes as much time as needed to make sure all your needs are met and happy to explain things when you dont understand something. Dr wendy is also very good to see. Both doctors are very pleasant. Reception are also very friendly. Never had any trouble when coming here!
Negative experience: WoW Roslyn or , i don't remember, very unpleasant, arrogant and I tried to explain something that a GP would need and ask me for a successful appointment with the clinic, i rate and recommend the Plenty Valley medical clinic, its just around the car wash there and that entry you see close by is there and walk in its on your right and a walk thru from the clunic to a convenient pharmacy attached.. Yeah especially dealing with people who has pain are more sensitive and are having it tough. Yeah I'm really sorry for the truth of my experience, but just an advise, say hello and welcome and talk less if ur only desperate need to go there.. she was Very disrespectful and sounds like she's not a happy woman with her job or other personal things, but u should be able to know at Rosslyn age , know to keep personal matters separate to work matters, or if not getting along with a colleague, keep that also separate to innocent people who call, bc who needs to see a doctor means that they are unwell and be treated with respect, not even, just relax n care about something, its good for you makes u feel better if u do.. I don't know Will never understand that... Sorry Rosslyn, i would like to know if I am toughy or unpainted person. Take another break and have a coffee or a quiet sit down and reflect, relax and learn,, everyday is a new one for you to start again fresh, or change your friends, maybe their a bad influence. Whatever is easiest for a change. Ciao stai bene
Fantastic experience: Dr wendy is the greatest
