Fantastic experience: Just a wonderful bunch of people who clearly love their jobs and looking after the kids and adults that visit them. They take the time to listen. We've never felt rushed or just like a number, and the attention and care they show to our children is second to none. The fact that our 4 year old was able to visit for vaccinations and a flu shot and there were NO TEARS is a testament to their wonderful nature. The team at Growlife Highgate Hill have been out family doctors now for a number of years and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

Fantastic experience: Growlife Medical has the most friendly, helpful staff I have ever encountered at a medical clinic. Sonja Morgan is so attentive. She maintains eye contact & leans forward in her chair to assure you of her attention. She asks questions based on the info you have given her her and is just a delight to consult with.

Negative experience: I️ made a visit to Growlife a few weeks back and am extremely disappointed with their services. While I️ was explaining my symptoms to my doctor, I️ felt as though they were not taking my concerns or my medical history seriously. I️ was told that my previously diagnosed chronic illness is “unlikely” and shouldn’t be affecting my current symptoms. I️ came in because I️ was exhibiting symptoms of a uti/kidney infection. I️ gave a urine sample in order to determine treatment. The pH strip very clearly indicated an infection in person during our appointment (the doctor and I️ looked at it together in the clinic) Though, my sample was as not received by the lab until 4 days later (a sample can only remain in the refrigerator for a maximum 48 hours) so well after the cut off. My doctor called me to discuss results & told me that nothing was found in my urine sample (even though blood and bacteria showed up on the pH strip in person, but because it was sent late, the sample was no longer true) I️ was also told to call the doctor back a week after my antibiotics finished and she would prescribe me a different medication to finish the course if necessary. Upon calling back, the doctor is now out on leave and I️ was offered to see another doctor and pay for another appointment, instead of just being prescribed the medication my doctor would know that I️ need. This feels like a money-trap and I’ve paid for the appointment, lab, and medications completely out of pocket since i️ am only here on a working holiday visa and do not have insurance. The doctor clearly did not listen to my symptoms or needs and did not prescribe the medication I️ needed, and now wants me to come back to spend even more time and money. Very ignorant and incompetent.

I always feel heard and taken seriously, and I am always given every option available to me and given choice. Especially if you are a woman seeking health care, if you are seeking sexual health care and/or contraceptives, the doctors here are wonderful and make you feel so safe. The reception staff are also kind, organised and efficient. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Emma this morning for an implanon replacement. She was so kind and professional and made the process so easy for me as someone afraid of needles. Nurse Lara also made the experience a million times more comfortable for me before, during and after the procedure. I was dreading this appointment but now i’m almost excited for when i have to get it replaced so that i can see them again. What a wonderful team, would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat!

Fantastic experience: I visited Growlife medical specifically for Sam Foster, their lactation consultant. After BF,pumping (after almost every feed), and topping up for 16 months with my first bub I knew I needed early support to maximise my Bfeeding journey with my second. I’m so pleased I was recommended Sam. She is truly incredible. Extremely thorough, evidence and experience based, up to date, kind, caring, honest, professional and yet able to have a laugh with you when you need it! My BF journey has not been easy, yet Sam navigated me through the difficulties whilst helping me to maintain realistic goals. She took the pressure of my own super high expectations (hello ICU nurse ) off me as well, exactly what every mum needs! I wish I’d had Sam there for my first baby. This time I’ve enjoyed my BF journey in a different way, it fits in with my life and expectations. I’m so happy to still be BF despite the hurdles, (8.5months in and hopefully many more to go), and Sam is a big part of that. I truly couldn’t recommend Sam highly enough, she is amazing!

Positive experience: Sent me a bill months later for questions I asked a doctor at my daughters appointment then when I paid for it she sent me an invoice (but the invoice didn’t show I had paid) and I spent hours trying to get my claim back from Medicare because Growlife couldn’t seem to process an invoice effectively. Administration is woefully inept and needs retraining. Won’t be going back here and asked for my records to be destroyed. Edit, manager called me back and offered a refund. I’m happy with this resolution.

Being a mother of two (2) young children I have always found the practice to offer exceptional service, care and treatment. The doctors always follow up on referrals and genuinely care about their patients. I couldn't recommend Dr Willard and the Growlife Medical Team more.

Fantastic experience: I had an iron fusion done at Growlife Medical Highgate Hill with Dr Emma and Nurse Lara. Such a wonderful experience, the 45-minute procedure went by so quickly. Nurse Lara has an amazing, caring and bubbly personality and made me feel comfortable and at ease given I was 33 weeks pregnant. Would highly recommend.

Admin staff are routinely efficient and friendly and helpful whilst the clinical staff meet the needs of my teens in a way that helps them both feel special and included and prioritising their health and mental well being. Bravo Growlife!

Positive experience: We have seen many doctors at this clinic and they are all wonderful, particularly Dr Pink and Dr Willard. They are very thorough, with genuine concern and empathy. The one thing I would like to mention is that the doctors are often running very late and while I understand this happens, I was disappointed when my appt was cancelled because I was a few mins late when I have always had to wait in the past.

Fantastic experience: We've been seeing Dr Aaron Chambers at Growlife Highgate Hill for several months while staying in Brisbane. He's treated our family for a range of ailments from skin cancer removal to child behavioural issues. We've had a difficult few months with our 5 year old daughter being treated at QCH for Leukaemia. Dr Chambers has been fantastic for the families other health issues during this time and we recommend him as a GP and Growlife in general. Companionable, caring and knowledgeable. We're lucky to have found him while we've been here.

Fantastic experience: My little one is 7 months old and I have visited Sam Foster twice since she was born. During the first couple of weeks when I was experiencing severe pain with breastfeeding and recently when my supply took a hit and we were having trouble with weight gain. I absolutely could not have done it without Sam’s help, both times she gave me the confidence I needed when I thought I wasn’t doing enough. Not only is she an expert in the field but her kind, warm and empathetic nature is the cherry on top, and something that every Mum needs during a tough time. I really can’t thank Sam enough, twice she has saved my breastfeeding journey! I’ll be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic lactation consultant, Sam Foster. I highly recommend her!! I had been to multiple lactation consultants and my latching issues were not improving. I was using a shield and having lots of pain. One session (home visit) with Sam and it was life changing. I was able to breastfeed immediately after she left without a shield and with no pain. Her experience and the knowledge she shared with me made all the difference, I am so thankful I found her. I am now able to enjoy feeding time with my bub.

My baby is 3 months old and we’ve had a difficult breastfeeding journey so far. Seeking advice from a lactation consultant seemed daunting to me, as too much conflicting advice can be overwhelming. Sam was gentle and kind, empowering me with brand new tips and advice I had not yet been offered to date despite seeing a range of medical professionals. I feel like she heard my concerns, listened without judgement and equipped me with tools to support myself and my son on our breastfeeding journey. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: NO!! They can't make clear what their fees are. Keeps changing and what they say doesn't match website. Their new patient pdf registration form doesn't work. After spending time filling in it wouldn't save and asked me to register for some pdf reader account.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never written a review on Google but felt compelled to. I’ve been here several times in the last few months and have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff and reception are incredibly warm and patient, and each doctor I’ve seen has listened to me and taken my concerns seriously. I cannot recommend Grow Medical enough!!

Negative experience: This is not a review of the doctors at Grow medical, where we have attended to get advice. They were professional and kind. This is a review of the strategies they endorse including the possums sleep film. We had trouble with a bub who would not settle during the night and used the possums sleep video and Grow Medical doctor's advice. Unfortunately the strategies didn't work for us, after trying the strategies several times as per the recommendations at Grow Medical and in the film. I feel we could have solved our sleep problems much earlier if we had not listened to this advice. In the end we waited 17 months with a child who woke 6 to 10 times per night and we were both incredibly stressed, anxious and sleep deprived. I know not all strategies will work for all people - but I would recommend if the possums strategies don't work for you and you are suffering as my family was, to see your child health nurse ASAP and possibly get a referral to Ellen Barron Sleep Clinic. This clinic, uses different methods and these worked for us. We now have a child who sleeps 11 to 12 hours per night as a result. Also, I would make one comment. We booked into the free session on Fridays. My son became ill over night and we could not attend. I received a quite rude phone call from Grow Medical due to my non-attendance which I did not appreciate. I'm sure as you are dealing with babies and young children that they become ill frequently and when a mother has had even less sleep than usual she might forget to call and say she cannot attend. I did not appreciate the tone of the call and being reprimanded like a naughty child.
