Negative experience: My mother is a pensioner. Without notice tried to charge her $140 while at her appointment for a drivers licence medical for dept of transport. She had been coming for years.Never charged before.They have lost their way. She was embarresses and couldnt afford it. Shame on you for not notifying her prior to arrival . TAMBORINE VILLAGE MEDICAL ARE A LOVELY TEAM. respectful and didnt charge my mother. Its a lovely drive as well. They have been my doctors for years. Now my mums too. She deserves to be treated better.
Negative experience: Was treated like a drug runner for asking Dr Kaycee Ching Koek for antibiotics for a sinus infection. Was refused and told to leave for getting upset - not yelling but crying and asking for help being so sick. No empathy and telling me go home and do nothing and it will just get better on its own eventually. I have already been sick for 4 days and it’s not better, that’s why I went to a doctor. Oh and today I have received a letter from them telling me they will no longer provide me any services from any of their practitioners.

Negative experience: My husband toke our daughter here this morning for a appointment at 9am didn’t get in till 9:30 as daughter was “running late” This was our daughter’s 1st time here as our regular drs don’t open on Sundays unfortunately. Dr Gupta is who our daughter got he was very rude and blunt my husband said… He asked where do you normally go? As you haven’t been here before my husband told him and said they are shut Sundays and we need something for our daughters croup! He wrote out the script and didn’t even tell Mitchell he was doing it just wrote it out and gave it to him. This Dr should learn some manners / people skills as even our 8 daughter said how rude he was. Not good enough Dr Gupta hearing of rude drs like yourself makes us appreciate our regular drs so much more at Tambourine Village Medical
We appreciate your feedback and feel sorry about your bad experience, as the doctor was running late. Dr Gupta was late as there was a serious accident on Beudesert Road on Sunday morning (reported in Courier mail ) and he had to come through as lot of detouring.
He had called and advised reception of delay in his arrival.
Regarding asking about Regular GP-it is a common practice to ask adhoc patients about their regular GP, so any investigations/correspondence can be marked to them.
Negative experience: Reception ladies were lovely. The Doctor we saw was rude, dismissive and condescending. Felt more like a money grab, come back after this! Come back after that!…. We will not be back, absolutely disgusted in her behaviour.

Fantastic experience: I am a regular attendee/patient at this practice. The reception staff are very warm and receptive upon arriving. Appointments are usually on time unless there has been an emergency and gps are running late, which is not or never a problem. GPs are receptive and attentive to needs, nurse , professionals, staff are all welcoming. Surgery and attached rooms are always clean and tidy. Highly recommend this practice as the health provider of choice.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr Dev for finally pushing me to try medication for weight loss. I was always so against using medication and struggled for years to lose weight. I'm officially 11kg down and am about half way to my goal. Thank you for the tough love that pushed me to take the steps I should have a long time ago.
Negative experience: Never ever bother to use this revolving door medical supermarket, already 3 new doctors in less than 18 months, wife needed a result for a test, call was booked for 11.20, after 2 phone calls the last being at midday, FORTY (40) MINUTES LATER, was put through to the doctor who couldnt stop laughing. Absolute height of incompetence and arrogance, and the standard excuse of VERY BUSY, does not wash - - - - I'M ALSO A DOCTOR!!!!. there are plenty of other medical centres in the district, and they actually care for their patients well being!!

Thank you for getting in touch. We have investigated the incident and have been advised by the doctor that 2 attempts were made at the scheduled appointment time and voicemails were left.

Negative experience: Dr Kawol Was extremely rude to my mother-in-law and son during the first consultation. My wife contacted him for the results for my son and she commented on how rude he was to her. You go to the doctor when you’re not feeling well and vulnerable. Dealing with a doctor with terrible bedside manner is not tolerable. We will not be using this doctor again.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a mirena removal and insertion with Dr Snya. Normally I get it changed in the hospital and it is a very traumatic experience. With Dr Snya, I was given a 'green whistle ' and the procedure was performed with zero discomfort or pain. I strongly recommend women who suffer from anxiety with pelvic examinations see Dr Snya.

Negative experience: Greedy Medicare Scammers Quoted over $130 for a consultation as my child hasn't been sick enough to visit in 12 months, so now we'll be hit with a new patients fee. Been going to this surgery for 10 years. But wait, the receptionist said well get a portion of it back claiming it through Medicare, just ripping us taxpayers off. They have always been greedy, phone call follow-ups on results that don't matter, nothing to talk about. They need to be investigated for Medicare fraud!!! Won't be back. Mind you, after the recent pandemic and doctors just siding completely with AHPRA TGA on the untested vaccines, looking out for themselves rather than their patients, zero patent care regarding side effects of the criminal mRna jabs they keep injecting into otherwise unsuspecting patients devoid of proper care and consideration at a one on one level, I have lost a lot of respect for my cowardly doctors except for those who stood up and said something, Now we have sudden deaths, higher cancer rates and 10% plus excess death rate compared with prior to 2020, oh but it couldn't be the COVID-19 Jabs, no! Wake up, stand up for your patients!!!! DO NO HARM, first thing your trained to follow!!! Bye-bye

Please call Medicare to check about this process.
This is the procedure followed by all private billing practices and it is not a scam.

Fantastic experience: Dr Snja is a fabulous doctor who takes the time to really connect with her patients and discussing health issues. I have moved out of the area but keep coming back as I have not found another Doctor who is as understanding and caring as Dr Snja.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Jimboomba Pharmacy Medical Centre. The doctors and staff there are always helpful and listen to your needs. They have been extremely helpful even with my daughter who has special needs. We feel valued and enjoy coming to this Medical centre. I especially recommend Dr David and Dr Kuan as they always take the time to help with my issues. I was in a car accident over a year ago now and they have been nothing but helpful while dealing with my injuries. I would dread going to the doctors previously but now I know I've found the perfect clinic with the right doctors who will do what they can to help myself and my family. Never change JPMC because it's Medical centres and doctors like you have, that are hard to come by! Thank you for all that you do!

Negative experience: I was referred to a specific doctor at this clinic by my regular GP, booked online and came in to be told I'd be paying $80 just for being a new patient even with medicare AND a concession card. Maybe put the price on your website when people book so they don't waste their time and yours. I am aware the website says "mixed billing" and "fee for new patient" never would have imagined it would be $80 though.

Negative experience: We made an appt over a month ago and paid $80. We advised by the reception team that we would receive $40 back from Medicare and that we didn’t need to do any paper work for the rebate. After receiving no refund after a week, I called and spoke to the lady who booked our appt and she said we could not get the rebate. I sent the manager an email of complaint and after hearing nothing after 2 weeks I followed up with another email. No contact was made. A month after the appt I called to talk to a manager and they have advised that even though they gave out the wrong information, there was nothing they could do and we just had to simply be out of pocket $80. The lack of communication is terrible and the fact that they would not issue a refund being it was their fault and they admitted this, is terrible customer service. We will never book with this medical practice again and I’d advise everyone to steer clear.

Negative experience: I would give zero star if I could, I had been to this Medical Centre for over 5 years but now I'm never coming back. I was not informed that I would have to pay a fee when I called them for booing my phone appointment. If I was informed about it, I would not made an appointment then went to another bulked billing Medical Centre. Also, a receptionist rang me after I had phone appointment in order to pay a fee via phone, but I said I wasn't informed that I had to pay why I had to pay. She said she called me before my appointment, but she said I didn't answer the phone. To be honest I didn't get any missed calls from anyone before my appointment. So, she said I had to pay it because I had cold symptoms. Why didn't she inform me when I call for booking? Also, I didn't get any missed calls before my appointment. Hopefully, my feedback becomes improving for the centre in the future. I'm very disappointed for doing this.

Negative experience: Love my doctor but after today I’m never coming back. I was not informed that I would have to pay a $225 fee for an iron infusion on the day I booked in (I would’ve definitely remembered a fee like that if I was told and I never would’ve booked it if I knew so when I went for my appointment today I was told I had too, I told them I was not informed about this and I was fine with paying cause I legit just brought the injection which was $30 and I just said to them that they need to be making sure they are informing patients of the fees at time of booking. I then proceeded to sit down and I could hear the receptionist speaking to the other receptionist saying “she apparently wasn’t told about the fee” and the other one said “no we definitely would’ve told her” in a very rude voice, mind you none of these ladies were the ones who booked me in. Honestly I felt that was completely rude and inappropriate and never will I ever be returning.

Negative experience: A referral was sent DIRECTLY to the pedatrician here back in JUNE 2022. I double sent the same referral back 10 days later to ADMIN with sub heading ATTN (Pedatrician name) in June myself to ensure they received it I then had to pay $50 to see a doctor to explain that I had a referral letter to see pedartrician and wanting to be on a wait list. Yep yep yep OK. It has been 8 months and I called to see how we are progressing on the wait list only to be told she isn't taking new clients when she would have received the referral directly herself to tell us. If admin forwarded my emails, that's two she would have got again not to be told. We have been let down in all regards. Now having to find another one and wait again. For a pedatrician to refer me directly there, for me to follow up with the referral again, have a dr appointment stating I wanted to see pedatrician to then be told I had to call. Seriously....I did everything.
Negative experience: My family and i have been coming to this practice for almost 12 years or so. I have never had any issues until today. Booked an appt for my 12 year old just for a referal for an xray to be told today I would have to pay for him as he hasn't been an active patient for 2 year's (He hasn't been sick to go to the drs), he was seen in 2020 for a telehealth. I understand adults and new patients but no child should have to pay. Have gone elsewhere, they bulk bill for kids under 16. Reading all the other reviews it seems to be the same issue. Might I add I booked online. Never was advised online I had to pay until the next day when I got a phone call. So cancelled my appt as I said we had been going for over 12 years to this practice. Might I also add my child is 12. The new drs surgery we go to don’t charge for kids.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr Dev and Dr Snya both. They both are very caring Dr’s. Referred me to specialist promptly and further procedures completed immediately. Follow up meeting with Dr Dev was really good. He explained the findings really well and in simple terms so I could understand. Happy to continue seeing Dr Dev and other Dr’s at the clinic.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended medical centre. Staff professional, facilities top class, doctors patient, caring and genuinely concerned for your health. What else can you ask for. Unfortunately due to Medicare debacles, just like all other medical centres, they are also now a mixed billing practice but would happily pay to see Dr Snya at the practice. I was suffering from ailments from a long time and Dr Snya was the only doctor I met who thought outside the box and helped me get out of the rut. She is brilliant and highly recommend her.

Negative experience: Even though have been going to them for 10 yrs, told to pay $85 as has not had need to go for 12+ months. Paid 85 to get antibiotics and stringer pain killer only to be told to take Nurofen which is not strong enough for the toothache. Dr was more interested in updating details in system than providing treatment. Best pay your money and go see better doctors at Jimboomba medical center.

Negative experience: I have only ever been to this practice twice and both times I have left extremely disappointed. The first time I presented with a health matter relating to breastfeeding only to have the male doctor refuse to examine me and recommend I see a female doctor. The second time, my husband I both had negative Rapid Antigen Test results but were told by the doctor that we “definitely” had COVID, rather than acknowledging the non-COVID related symptoms we did have. For a practice where you are required to pay a private billing fee (that is not cheap by any means), the staff and services need a massive improvement. I will not be recommending this surgery to anyone genuinely concerned for their health.

A male doctor can choose to refer a non urgent
case of female examination to a female colleague.
RATs are often negative due to multiple reasons in covid positive patients.

Negative experience: Had bad experiences with this medical centre but the final straw was being told I couldn’t be bulk billed because I wasn’t sick often enough!! Although I had been for vaccines etc, they didn’t count so was told I had to pay another initial ‘ new patient’ consult fee. I have been going there continuously since they opened.

We are a mixed billing practice. When you pay $75 for a standard consultation you get back $40 as a rebate. The receptionist needs your Medicare card to process the rebate.

But unfortunately just recently have been asked to pay for service, even though I am a regular a nd so was my family. After today I will not be returning, as it appears that money is more important than people. No where does it state I will be charged on weekends, and I got offered to see a doctor that does bulk bill on Sunday's. I wanted to see my doctor not someone else. Negative experience: People skills need to be improved. I didn't see my regular doctor who has always been good to me. This particular day is why I'm rating it so low. Reception asking me to wear a mask when I couldn't even breathe, explained to her why I couldn't. 2 others were not wearing a mask. I was asked to wait outside because I refused to wear a mask. Dr comes out asks me how he can help. I asked for a script, I received it without being examined. I hadn't been to the doctor in a year. Is this all because I wouldn't wear a mask? However not impressed with the experience

Fantastic experience: I've been to this doctor's office a few times over the years and have had reasonable experiences. Today however was exceptional. I am so incredibly grateful for the receptionist and doctor for arranging an urgent telehealth appointment for me this morning. They were both so kind and understanding of my situation. I got the medication I needed and it has made the world of difference. Even though I knew what I needed, the doctor was still sure to take the time to provide a thorough examination. Negative experience: 1. Doctor I went to consult wasn't very well trained, another doctor came in and did not had mask on during Covid times when asked, the reason was because she was having a conference call but that was not the excuse. 2. Despite being pregnant, the doctor I visit wasn't very clear what services I should be getting on week 26. That is unacceptable! 3. Went back again to get my son immunisation record updated but the doctor told us he was down with 2 staffs and suggest us to go Centerlink and update. we went and found out only GP can do that. The reception printed my child immunisation record 3 weeks ago and did not update (which they claim they did) till Medicare send us a letter, we rang up the clinic and they say they could only update for us if I do something to my google review. that is threatening as a health care provider. Honestly, I am very disappointed as a customer and a patient despite giving many chances. I would rather leave an honest review than to update my child immunisation record and visit other clinic instead!
Fantastic experience: Although we live in Woolloongabba but travel all the way to this medical centre to see GP Manas Gupta who we found, besides being a good medical doctor, a friendly and accomodating. The support staff is also very pleasant to deal with who try to reschedule appointment times at last minute should we get stuck in traffic on the way.

Negative experience: I'm a patient of the clinic, went there due to believing that I may have had a bug in my ear after working in the yard.. Sent away and asked to go to Beaudesert hospital ad the doctor could not help me. I left went to Yarrabilba medical and had a bug removed from ear... the doctor at Yarrabilba could not believe they didn't even have a look, the bug was not that far in and was removed in seconds... The Yarrabilba Doctor said that I could have been in a car accident if the bug started to bite..

Fantastic experience: First time I attended this Medical Centre. I rang up this morning and managed to get my Booster Pfizer shot a few hours later, very grateful and impressed with the service. Negative experience: Reception staff are so rude & unprofessional. If you don’t see their doctors you can’t get a COVID test at Medlab.

Fantastic experience: Jimboomba Pharmacy Medical Centre has been providing medical services to our family since 2013. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Centre, they are professional and particularly, they are flexible to tailor the service to meet the patients’ needs and circumstances. Also, appreciate that the Centre is open beyond standard business hours and over weekends which greatly helps many people like us with 8-5 Mon-Friday jobs. Fantastic experience: Dr Syna Chadha has been our family Dr for the past 3yrs. We wouldnt have it any other way, she is caring & understanding. Dr Syna goes above & beyond. She is very professional & makes you feel like you matter. Our appointments have always been on time & fits us in if there is an emergency. Dr Syna always answers the million questions I have & is happy to explain anything I dont understand. JPMC is right next to a Pharmacy which I love, especially when having a sick baby. Always plently of parking any time of the year.
Negative experience: Dr Sonia made a claim to Medicare, claiming she had completed my health check when she didn't, ill be seeking legal advise. Everyone check your medicare statement.
