NEST, is a literal house of wellness and support, from the moment you walk in, it’s calm, clean and a friendly face at the desk to welcome you in. I recommend NEST to all friends who are seeking professionals who genuinely care, when you are at your most vulnerable. Thank you NEST family.

Negative experience: Had been coming here for years until a series of really poor experiences has turned me away completely. It feels like they will do anything to find another reason to bill you for services provided, all under the guise of providing extra care. Money hungry and greedy practise.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Tayla Meerkin for the first time today. She was on time, knowledgeable and very helpful. Online booking and prompt sms scripts used at this clinic are very convenient.

Negative experience: My sister engaged with your psychiatrist in the lead up to her pregnancy. She required urgent dental care and subsequently needed to cancel a Tuesday appointment on Saturday, baring in mind the clinic was open when she called to reschedule. The clinic stated that because she was cancelling within “2 business days” she would still be charged the $480. This was the 1st time she was cancelling and was not repeat behaviour. Greedy and unreasonable.

Negative experience: Let me start by saying I absolutely loved Nest and my family and I have been at the clinic for over 3 years. I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to do so after my experience today. I was stuck in heavy traffic and called the clinic 10mins before my appointment to let them know I was running behind. Reception said it would be fine to be a couple of minutes late so when I arrived, 7mins late, I was taken a back when reception let me know the doctor (Dr Masters), would no longer be seeing me! Never have I felt so dismissed like I did today. Mind you practically every appointment I’ve had at the clinic they are always running behind at least 10-15mins and some cases 30mins and I’ve never complained!

Negative experience: $198 dollars to see a 6 month old. When I asked if the GPs had a focus or interest on babies the receptionist said she couldn’t answer that question because she isn’t “trained to know that.” But she sure did know the billing policy not helpful at all.

Fantastic experience: Both doctors I see regularly are professional, personable and always ensure the best care is given. The reception staff are very helpful and easy to deal with. A very clean and welcoming environment. I now take my daughter there too. Well worth paying for the service.

Fantastic experience: The doctors at Nest are all caring and invested in their patients. Nothing is too hard or too much. As a parent I feel heard and respected when raising my concerns about my kids health as well as their focus on my health and well-being too.

Negative experience: Overpriced, unhygienic, long waits, poor advice. The clinic kept sending all information to my young teenage daughter rather than me directly, despite numerous reminders to them to change. The advice given to her with gastro was that she could eat whatever she wanted, even sushi!

Negative experience: Disappointed to be seen in a shed outside with an additional fee for PPE. Please consider making patients feel welcome, and that they’ve come to the right place when feeling unwell.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Nest are seriously awesome. The front desk staff are super professional, always follow through with admin and just make it so easy. For someone who has had to manage a lot of health related appointments I'd move everything over to Nest if I could. Dr Michael Batt provides an extra level of care, attention and thoroughness that I have not experienced before and is honestly a big relief. I would highly recommend Dr Batt and Nest Family Clinic (I already have!)

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr Sam Margis for 5 years and he is a true example of a medical specialist who is there for his patients. He has helped me navigate so many parts of my life dealing with my mental health and always takes time to truly explain the best approach. His team are thorough, polite and professional and treat their customers with a great deal of respect

Negative experience: Would not recommend Dr. Sam Margis and be warned prospective patients. I employed Dr. Sam Margis for the duration of my pregnancy which cost an arm and a leg, but he not only provided inaccurate advice and took me off all medication, imperative to my mental health, which was not necessary which resulted in my being hospitalised involuntarily initially. Dr. Sam Margis also insisted I cease breastfeeding as he prescribed me an unsafe medication, which was not only not effective, but when there were safe alternatives and breastfeeding for as long as possible was very important to me - he took away my privlidge. I saw Dr Margis and trusted him for the duration of my pregnancy to avoid events such as these happening and he not only failed, but demonstrated outright negligence and all of what I endured could have been avoided under the correct guidance. This caused serious trauma to myself and my family of which I will never recover and of which you cannot put a price tag on.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t rate Dr Amanda Scott higher as a GP. She is thorough, caring, listens with empathy & is just a fantastic GP. Would trust her with anyone I care about.

Positive experience: The medical staff i have seen have been good but I have had some problems with the front of house staff. They lost my initial referral, gave me incorrect information, sent me off chasing unnecessary information, and have failed to forward test results and another referral. Not sure why it takes three calls to get these basics sorted every time.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend for new parents and parents-to-be. Excellent pregnancy care, and genuine concern and support for our new baby. We've seen most GPs, Dr Gregor the paediatrician, and Nicole Bando for lactation and dietician help. Everyone has gone above and beyond for us. The reception team also go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. Parking on site, baby change facilities provided. LGBT friendly.

Negative experience: Very good doctors but poor disability accessibility, especially since recent renovation. The desk at the front reception is above my head (I use a wheelchair - This was not the case prior to Reno ) with no lowered accessible desk portion. Reception staff keep standing and talking loudly over the desk at me despite my providing feedback to the manager about this (confidentiality breech). Disability bathroom is difficult to access by yourself as the doors open inwards and are heavy (have to pull the door towards you whilst wheeling yourself backwards - very little room for this). Not all rooms have accessible examination tables. If the doctor I see wasn’t so amazing I would switch clinics. I think if you’ve don’t have have a disability the clinic is good, but for disabled people I would advise against it.

Fantastic experience: I have to state that it is always a delight to visit my doctor @ NEST. From the warm welcome of the Reception Staff to the empathic reassuring responses of my doctor, I invariably feel better on leaving than on arriving.

The GP’s at NEST have always listened, and always filled me with confidence and reassurance, making my feel my children and myself were in the safest possible hands. Fantastic experience: Ive been driving across town for years now to visit Nest. The support I have recieved from my therapist, Dr Sam Margis, has been invaluable in helping me navigate the early years of parenthood. Admin staff have always been exceptional too - warm, welcoming and accommodating. I can highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have always found the reception staff and GP's at NEST to be friendly and professional. I appreciate that I don't feel rushed and I'm always given opportunities to clarify what is being explained. Over the years, my family has done flu shots, immunisations, skin conditions, kids diet, 3 pregnancies with Ravi K, so it's been convenient seeing all the team associated with NEST under the one roof.

Negative experience: Amanda Scott dismissed my concerns about my 1 year old sons rash saying ‘don’t make an issue of this when it’s only dribble rash”…. It turned out to be a serious staph infection which could have become life threatening had I not gotten a second opinion. Disappointing to say the least….

Fantastic experience: Great service, appreciate that the doctors really give you their time.

Negative experience: Very inconsistent and overall dissatisfied experience with NEST. While some doctors/nurses/reception staff are kind and helpful, I’ve also experienced rude reception staff and doctors. I’ve also had excessive wait times while in the clinic for most appointments (over 45 mins) and had phone/telehealth appointments simply get forgotten (no call received). Similar to other reviews, I’ve also had promised child immunization reminders forgotten multiple times. New patient appointments require a double booking and are costly (with no added value seen in that appointment).

Negative experience: As other reviews have warned - stay away!

Negative experience: I've always had a lot of time for Nest until now (it's convenient and the doctors are great). We had an issue with a flu vaccination for our 8 month old. Simone Morris administered the 1st dose a few months back. Our usual nurse Anne who is brilliant always notifies us of what follow up vaccines are required and what else we need to plan for as well as setting reminders via the app. Simone made no mention that babies receiving the flu vaccine for the 1st time require 2 doses. I only learnt of this from discussions in my mothers group. A number of us who attend Nest are in the same boat and were never told this information. I did share the feedback with Clare, the ops manager, however her response was rather generic. I have also suggested to Anne the nurse to run a report on all children patients that were seen by Simone to audit if they had received the 2nd dose (I suspect not) and to contact the parents to book in for a follow up. Clare should be managing this process and sending out relevant comms to parents whose children have missed out on the 2nd dose. You owe this to parents to notify them. In such a horrible flu season, our babies need to be protected particularly as some are in child care. Whilst this may be considered a minor mistake - it's the rectification and follow up that matters most. Clare's response 'Thanks for the feedback'. Would expect her to do a quality audit on the patients seen by Simone to ensure no other mistakes were made....Do better Nest, we trust you to look after our families and children - it's your moral responsibility as healthcare providers.

Negative experience: After sending a referral to make an appointment, it's been 8 weeks and still waiting to be contacted to schedule an appointment. No time line nothing, would not recommend unless your willing to wait Indefinitely

Fantastic experience: My family has been using Nest for over 5 years and I have had two premature babies during this time. Their support for me and my family has been amazing. I can't rate Dr Claire Toohey highly enough and on the occasions that she has not been working and I have needed an appointment, the rest of the staff have also been great. Three years ago I moved to the inner west and I still travel to Elsternwick to go to Nest.

Negative experience: If you want to find a service that is made on false promises, look no further. I went with Nest as I was seeking an urgent assessment of my son for school. They were the choice as I was told by reception that their psychologist Madeleine Jaffe had just started.. so her schedule was very free. I though I had struck gold. Broken promise 1. After our first meeting Madeline told me I would get a call that night or the next day to organise an assessment schedule. A week later I had heard nothing so had to chase them. Broken promise 2. After contacting them myself and finding that they would be able to see me, during that week apparently Madeline’s schedule was now all full up, so they wouldn’t be able to see my child for a month. But oh well.. we will just have to do it. Broken promise 3. Was told I would be emailed info of dates and schedules and costs. This never came Broken promise 4. Had provided all my child’s ‘other services’ and supports and was told Madeline would talk with them . As of the 3rd visit that had never occurred. After being treated this way, $700 later, I decided to find somewhere else. Wasted money but if they treat their customers like the above it’s better to find someone I can trust. Oh and reception has breached privacy and confidentiality with myself. They have handed me another customer’s receipt/invoice with the customer’s name, Medicare info, date of birth and type of visit on it. May even have had their address I don’t remember No attention to detail. No support. Edit: also I love how they have to pad their reviews with members of staff. 5 star review by ‘Laura Voss’ a nurse at Nest. And two other Voss 5 star reviews. ‘Emily Hunt’ the ex practice manager at Nest gives them a 5 star review during her time with them. Makes me wonder how many of the 5 star reviews are fake. So much padding of good reviews by staff and their family. I really should have looked at this place carefully before attending.

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews but i am so incredibly impressed with NEST Family clinic at Elsternwick i couldn't not! My son and I started going to NEST to see Dr Amanda Scott after he had an issue with his vaccinations. Dr Amanda Scott is thorough, caring and went above and beyond. The clinic also offers an extensive list of services. Thanks team Nest!

Negative experience: Receptionist had attitude as soon as we walked in and also on our way out. So did the doctor and whilst she had a good bedside manner with my child, she did not seem to care very much when talking to me. Care factor was low. Turns out my child had Influenza but that was passed off as just a cold virus. I used to go many years ago, and stopped since I moved. Returned this time, as I couldn't find an appointment anywhere else on short notice and am disappointed to say that service levels have dropped significantly.

Negative experience: Have stopped going, i use to take my baby there but they offered no great advise, a couple of doctors were not very sympathetic and they are very overpriced.. found a great doctor near by who is bulk billing and is so caring with my child..

Negative experience: Great doctors. Myself and my 7 year-old daughter have seen both Dimity Williams and Amanda Scott and they have been through, competent and kind. I am less impressed with the inflexible and unrealistic pricing and payment policies. I don't think they are consistent with the aims of a family practice at all, as stated by other reviewers. I don't mind paying to see a good doctor, but charging me $40 because I got stuck in traffic (and called to explain) and was 15 minutes late, then leaving me waiting for more than 20 minutes without any explanation the next time I had appointment, understandably left a bad taste in my mouth. They also charge a full appointment fee for a review of a child who has worsened with the same issue within a week. I have never experienced that before. My wonderful former doctor in Prahran, who sadly moved interstate, would always bulk-bill for a follow up with a sick child (after charging a relatively high full fee for the first appointment) and I know many other medical centres charge a 50% fee or similar. I think this could deter people seeking a review of a sick child and is again inappropriate for a clinic that promotes themselves as family-centred. I don't normally write long online reviews, but I am disappointed to find such good doctors hand-in-hand with such mercenary billing policies.
