Anytime Fitness Knox

Fantastic experience: Just don’t like the music you guys playing. It ruins the vibe. Anything else good.

Negative experience: Great facility and one of the best Anytime Fitness Clubs. It is however being let down by the lack of control in letting non-members in after hours. Groups walking in all a time, spreading out across the equipment and is incredibly frustrating that we have to share equipment which we pay to use with those that dont. No staffed members present at the club during peak periods of 7-9pm that cant police this problem. This has lead to personal belongings being stolen including mobile phones and car keys leading to the theft of cars. This has happened on numerous occasions which leads to all the signs around the club notifying all to keep personal belongings on them. How many times does this need to happen before something actually gets done? I have emailed numerous times about the above and nothing has changed which has lead me to believe my emails are falling on deaf ears. A great gym being let down by admin.

Fantastic experience: I've been training at AF Knox for nearly two years now, and I have had no regrets about choosing this gym over others in the area. The staff members are lovely and welcoming, and the gym has great equipment for all kinds of training. Its location in the shopping centre is also convenient for grocery shopping after a session. A side effect of this convenience is that the gym can be packed during peak hours, but there are so many machines and squat racks that it hasn't been an issue for me. Whether you are interested in cardio, bodybuilding, powerlifting, or group classes, AF Knox offers something for everyone. Highly recommended! Shoutout to Georgia, Portia, Aidan and Adam for being amazing people. Keep it up guys :)

Fantastic experience: I have been with Anytime fitness Knox for the better part of 2 years by this point. This is for good reason as compared to other gyms, AF Knox has the best and newest facilities. These facilities include weights, cardio and even health measuring machines. In addition they are constantly adding new machines and changing things to suit members needs. Just yesterday I saw them change all the weights, replacing the worn out old plates for brand new ones. Also the staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met, always saying hello or goodbye. There was this one time I was overseas and forgot to pause my membership. Seeing that I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks they called me to ask me what was happening and then offered to pause my membership. This saved me a few weeks worth of payment which would have otherwise gone unnoticed. It was thanks to their diligence in valuing members over profits in which I was saved. Anyhow, this gym is THE BEST gym in which I have had the privilege to support and grow.

Fantastic experience: Signed up as soon as I found out AF was opening up at Knox in 2022, I train here everyday and refuse to go anywhere else! It’s a massive gym with all the equipments you could ever ask for with even a dedicated recovery area! Staff are always so friendly and interactive with their members. PT’s and Osteo are super knowledgeable and welcoming, best place to becoming your best self! :)

Fantastic experience: The first and last gym I’ll ever go to because it’s just that good. The staff have always been super friendly and welcoming and the trainers there really care about their clients. Even the members here are friendly so if you’re somewhat nervous, this is the best place to start your training journey.

Negative experience: Learn my lesson. Important Considerations Before joining, think before signing up: 1. Pay Additional Fees for Access Devices: The facility charges an additional fee for fob keys, which is required for entry. 2. Pay Initial Membership Fee: There is a one-time membership fee of $99 that must be paid before commencing the regular fortnightly gym payments. 3. Pay FOREVER! Auto Contract Renewal without Notification contract ending: Check your app, it says your membership is until 2099. It is YOUR responsibility to notify the gym at least 30 days prior to the contract's end to avoid automatic renewal. Failure to remind them, you will have to continue monthly charges, even after the contract term has concluded, and they will never notify you. (So the term contract is basically almost 100 years, while your only benefit of the "term" is - no cancellation fees after that) 4. If they don't like you, you are going to get the cold shoulder. I had difficulty finding my way around knox or even for the carpark, so I got lost and had to turn up late to my appointment arriving 20mins late. The PT was not only scary, not welcoming, I had to reschedule through a phone, even if there was someone on-site to arrange an appointment. 5. You're new! Here's an app! Lack of Support: There is very limited assistance available for individuals, especially for those who happen to have circumstances and had to relocate. When inquiring about guidance from Knox, I was directed to use the gym’s mobile app and was rejected for an in-person support or instruction, which can be disappointing for someone wanting to start a new phase of their life. 6. What if you will be relocated? No Termination Clause for Relocation if there is gym nearby. In my case, relocating for work meant attending a totally different gym that did not have the same amenities and classes, but the contract remained active, payment is the same, due to the proximity of "a gym" in the area, not the same gym for me. It might have the same colors, but this is not the place I signed up for, plus you cannot transfer your PT session here. 7. Are you ok with unisex bathrooms? Some people might be fine with unisex toilet, if they are clean. The gym's shower facilities are quite poorly maintained, slimey floors, poor drainage bathrooms and sometimes unpleasant odors. 8. No compensation when the club closed down due to renovation and moving of location. But we have to continue to pay!! It is ok, anyways, you just need to pay. There is a good thing about this team, they replied my email very quickly, which I think, is a good thing (Let's be positive). So yes I had a horrible terrible experience, but its coming to an end. I am not ever going to sign up here anymore.

Fantastic experience: Sorry I know it’ll be hard, it was for me. But I’ll try sorta explain why the gym is still a 5 star experience from a random passage I read at a random moment. In this universe isn’t it crazy that things like working out makes you feel weaker, but is really making you stronger. Learning new things will make you feel dumber, but really you’re only getting smarter. Investing in yourself will make you feel broker, but is really making you richer. Facing your fears will make you feel scared even terrified, but it’s actually making you braver. Anyone who reads this will probably understand that once you find your rhythm, even the steps back just become apart of the dance. Sometimes it really is just a leap of faith. Take it :) You guys got this!!!!!!

It’s always well maintained, with cleanliness held to a really high standard. Plus, there are always new things happening here whether it’s new equipment or more group classes, which I love, run by Sid and Jasmine. If you're looking to join a gym, head down to Knox and have a chat with Georgia or Portia. They'll take great care of you and make sure every time you walk in, you feel like more than just a member

Negative experience: !!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The new gym may look nice and have decent equipment but just pray you don't get on their bad side. This is one of those gyms that are just like the horror stories you hear online, with not being able to cancel and charging ridiculous fees for problems that are their fault. If you have a look through these reviews almost all have no comments or a very generic one liner. This is because they get their staff to all leave a 5 star review and ask their friends at the gym to all leave a reviews. They also have signs plasted everywhere asking for reviews. I'm sure some people have a fine experience here, but if they chose to pick on you expect the following: - Threatening calls saying you owe them thousands of dollars - Threatening every few months to send debt collectors after you - Harrasment for 6 months + - Promising to pause your membership while they sort out payment issues that they admit are on their end. Then not hearing a response for a month only for them to tell you you owe them hundreds - thousands in late fees - Refusal to honor contracted conditions. Such as not having to pay out your plan if you have an injury that doesn't allow you to train and written proof from a doctor. (They will make you pay the full amount, apparently contract conditions only apply when it suits them). DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Negative experience: my biggest regret was signing up here. i feel like im going to have a nervous breakdown anytime i hear someone mention anytime or i see those posters everywhere. i appreciate the apologies from the staff and im not a hateful person but i do want to express how terrible i felt my experience here was. i’m sure the new upgrades of the equipment is great and the facilities are okay…but i don’t think a bigger building and fancy equipment can ever make up for the fact that i was miscommunicated with for months upon months which turned into a year of ongoing threats when it was the actual staff that were the ones losing contact with me not the other way around. hope no one else experiences a situation like i have, and that the staff pass on better communication with each other and the people they sign up. it really is just all about money to most people. honestly, not exaggerating, this place caused me severe stress and anxiety.

Fantastic experience: The new venue is great. Was really sad to see they were moving to a venue, but I am happy about it now. New venue has more space and more machines, so we don't need to wait to use certain machines anymore. Team there is always willing to help (even afterhours via text) which is a big deal.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a kind, caring, compassionate, energetic and fun group instructor, look no further than Brooke! (diamond core fitness). From my first ever session where I ended up unwell and she sat with me to talk and make sure I was ok whilst I felt embarrassed and ill, to even when I’m not in a group class, seeing Brooke around the gym and her still taking the time to check in and be enthusiastic and positive! The classes (I’ve attended three different classes now, Zumba, Pilates and strength) are fun and engaging; and some classes really do push you to your limits. Brooke provides just the right amount of encouragement where you can push yourself, but not overdo it. She has also been able to provide modified movements if required. The people in the group classes are wonderful and accepting and supportive of others, and Brooke has really gone out of her way to create that type of atmosphere. It does not matter if you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned pro, you will love the classes!

Fantastic experience: Went along to Brooke from Diamond Core Fitness' classes with my girlfriend. Very good classes, good for all levels of experience. 6/6 would reccomend.
