Hunters Hill Medical Practice is a high quality, accredited general practice clinic providing personalised care to patients since 1860.
With an emphasis on preventative medicine, our practice takes a holistic patient-centred approach to treatment. We cover all aspects of general practice, acute conditions, chronic care, mental health, children's health, women's health, men's health, checkups, skin excisions, iron infusions and much more. Fantastic experience: I don't know where I'd be without the incredible doctors, nurses and larger staff at Hunters Hill Medical Practice. Dr Rao and Dr Rastogi have been incredible - thorough, attentive, supportive and have gone above and beyond to help me through some very difficult conditions over the past 18 months. Fantastic experience: The most brilliant practice. Dr Badr is very experienced in his field he has helped myself and my family numerous times. The whole team from the receptionist to all the doctors and nurses are fantastic. The practice offers other medical facilities including molemap , Physio , podiatrist just to name a few. I have also had the pleasure of being Dr Geoffrey Ye’s patient he is also an outstanding GP and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional practice! I spent 3 weeks here as a final year medical student. My educational experience was carefully planned and well supported. Fantastic experience: I recently completed a placement at HHMP as a medical student. The doctors I sat in with were excellent and professional, taking time with each patient to discuss their concerns and tailoring their management to the patient's needs. The standard of care across the board, ranging from the doctors, nurses and allied health staff was exceptional and the best I've seen across all my placements. Fantastic experience: I did a 5 week placement at Hunters Hill Medical Practice as a 3rd year medical student and had the most amazing experience! The staff are all fantastic teachers, they got me really involved with the consults and I got lots of procedural experience as well. The nurses, allied health and specialists on site gave me other valuable teaching too. I highly highly recommend this practice to other medical students!

Fantastic experience: I've been well supported by HHMP (in particular Dr Newton and Nurse Lynda), since leaving the ADF in 2021. This includes help with accessing services through DVA, and the formulation of a comprehensive care plan. My decision to go with them has made for a smooth transition and greatly improved health outcomes. Negative experience: Be prepared to be seen an hour after your appointment time. Staff are great but very slow
Thanks for the feedback Mario. Sorry you had a long wait. We understand that it is frustrating when that happens. We are glad you think the staff are great though. Thanks. We do not want it to sound like an excuse, but as you know, the nature of medical work is unpredictable. A 15 minute appointment becomes a 45 minute Mental Health consult, then Murphy's law means chest pain / laceration comes in and we are so late! We try and get the nurses to help when appropriate. Fantastic experience: I transferred to the Hunters Hill Medical Practice following the very sad passing of our decades long family GP. They have taken wonderful care of my daughters and myself. All the staff, GP’s and specialists are friendly, highly skilled and caring. The practice is open for long hours and if they have ever been booked out and it’s an emergency situation, the staff ensure that our needs are met. HHMP truly is an excellent medical practice.’

Fantastic experience: Fantastic medical practice. Dr Rao is so patient and kind that I immediately feel better after visiting her. In the case when she is not available, I have seen other doctors on couple of occasions and everyone is professional and nice. Warmly recommending this practice!

Fantastic experience: I visited the medical practice yesterday for the first time even though I’m out of area, they provide services that are not offered by my regular GP practice. What an efficient team considering how busy the medical practice was in the morning. I saw the doctor first who was professional, knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. Fantastic experience: Wonderful practice. Friendly & professional nurses, doctors and reception staff. I have been attending this practice for over 10 years and my Dr Kath Turner is a very thorough, approachable and simply great GP. The nurses went out of their way recently to help my very fearful children have travel vaccines and I won’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Luckily HHMP had availability for my child's second COVID vaccination, after the abysmal experience at an other nearby practice. HHMP staff are simply amazing. The admin part went smoothly and the whole vaccination process was just so thoughtful. The nurses were lovely and tried their best making my child feel at ease. During the actual vaccinating one nurse distracted my child while the other administered the vaccine. Afterwards we sat in a designated waiting room (in case of a reaction - properly timed) with a kids movie playing and little rewards for the children. All in all a great experience, I cannot recommend HHMP highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Dr Katherine Turner is THE BEST GP in the world you can ever meet!! I am so lucky to have met her!! This practice is always really busy but still the reception staff will make sure u r well taken care of, especially after i went in a couple of times, they then remembered me and knew what i was after and made sure i do not have to wait in th long queue. Booking is extra easy via the app, if u do over th phone its a bit of a wait but app is super simple and convenient.

It has been a busy time recently and our staff have been doing their best under difficult circumstances. Negative experience: Our family have been coming here for years, however recently the practice doesn't seem respect appointment times, in recent times we've always had to wait around 15 minutes (which I understand can happen) however after waiting 50 minutes today and enquiring a few times with reception and still no doctor in sight, we walked out and are extremely disappointed with the service that was offered. We made an early appointment, turned up 5 minutes beforehand, and we're paying a premium at HH MP so would expect some level of service and care. What's the use of actually making an appointment?
Daer, Tob. Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate your taking the time to provide an honest review. We have reviewed our bookings and can see that you had a booking on Saturday. We are sorry that you had a negative experience with an excessive wait time and not being informed by the reception team. We have since highlighted this issue to reception. We understand how this can be frustrating when we are all so busy with multiple commitments. It has been a particularly busy time of late (especially on Saturdays) with high loads and staff shortages. Our line of work is unpredictable and emergencies can just present needing acute care. We can assure you that the doctors do not like to run late either as it just means a longer shift for them or missing lunch etc. That said, it is not unreasonable to communicate that to patients who are waiting. We are a private practice and we do charge a gap, this allows us to spend appropriate amounts of time with each patient to address their condition properly. Negative experience: I was referred by friends and family to this practice, expecting to be taken care of and treated right, they provide the service of excellence - but that was not the case as all. I paid almost $400 for all the scans and tests that my doctor sent me to do and when I requested for the reports to be sent to me so that I can look over it, I wait for a week and I got nothing. When I called to ask about them again I was passed on from one receptionist to another. I was given empty promises one after another. I went through 3 receptionists and still nothing. I was promised that I would get the reports emailed to me by my doctor on the day but nothing came through. This is anything but the service of excellence that I was promised. I’ve waited until today and I still have not received a call back in regards to all the results that I was promised to received. Very disappointing, this is definitely not the caring family medical practice that I signed up for.

Fantastic experience: We love HHMP. The doctors are exceptional and all the staff are kind, caring and efficient. My girls just had their first dose of the Pfizer Covid vaccine and it was over quickly, without any fuss. I highly recommend HHMP for vaccinations and management of complex health needs.

Fantastic experience: HHMP has been my 'go to' GP for at least 12 years. They have supported me through two pregnancies, various personal ailments and all the illnesses kids pick up! Dr Badr, Dr Turner, Dr Wilkinson and Dr Tam are excellent. We are very lucky to have such a community minded health practice with the patient's interests always in mind in our locality.

Fantastic experience: Dear Katrina Arcus I am writing to your practice to commend you and your staff for the amazing job you are all doing at Hunters Hill Medical Practice. Our daughter Ava came to your office for her vaccinations and my husband said all the staff were so friendly and professional. He said every patient is greeted personally and made welcome. I was having trouble accessing my daughter's Proof of Vaccination Certificate, I called the office and the receptionist advised she would arrange for the nurses to email this to me. Fantastic experience: A really great practice. We are never rushed through our appointments and most of the doctors we have seen have been very thorough and approachable. Fantastic experience: Just had my second COVID-19 vaccination and was blown away by the kindness of the nurses and staff. Nurses Charlotte and Lynda were so patient with me (I’m terrified of needles), and Lynda held my hand and reassured me the whole time while Charlotte waited until I felt comfortable before giving me the injection. Highly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: I received both of my Pfizer vaccine doses here and am very happy with the experience! The nurse Charlotte was absolutely lovely and very thorough with giving information. Fantastic experience: I recently visited to get my Covid vaccine and I found Ash and the team in the vaccine clinic to be excellent. They were professional, very welcoming and comforting. I did notice some people were a little nervous and the staff made the process straight forward and easy. In what is a nervous time right now in Australia, the team here are doing a great job to keep us safe.

Fantastic experience: I got my first jab this week at HHMP vaccine clinic, it was a great experience. Everything was smooth starting at the reception till getting the vaccine then at the waiting area. The team is well organised and respectful. Fantastic experience: Excellent team of health professionals. Nurse Issy and Dr. Badr were present after normal hours at the clinic to administer the COVID vaccine. They were both helpful in giving advice and asking relevant health questions. My wife and I were so relaxed in their presence as they conveyed professionalism and genuine care for our welfare. A wonderful experience during these troubled times for two senior citizens.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kylie is an incredible doctor, on each visit she has approached our appointments with genuine care, her commitment and knowledge is admirable. I'll continue to suggest Dr Kylie to all my friends and family. The nurses are also amazing, every time I have been there they have been approachable, gracious and skilled in what they do. The lady in the Pathology section is amazing and the best at doing blood tests, she has always taken care in everything.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at the HHMP for a decade now. I have received consistently exceptional medical monitoring and counseling throughout this period. A wide range of GP and other services are available onsite, as are nursing and pathology testing services. All referrals have been directed to equally exceptional specialists. There is a very personable and comforting atmosphere about the clinic. I have come to know, and be known by, many of the doctors and staff. Accessibility has never been an issue as the GP's cover for each other very efficiently. This, for me, has been an ideal and friendly medical practice, despite being nestled in a major city.

Fantastic experience: I just want to write a review about my experience today. I had an appointment with Dr. Wong and it was about very personal female issues. Dr. Wong was absolutely marvelous. She explained everything so clearly and made me feel very comfortable with the procedure I received. I really highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I went online to the practice website to see if I could bring forward my AZ2 vax. I took the first available (24 hours). The process ran exactly on time, very efficiently end to end. The vax was a dream. I had to actually ask if the nurse was sure she’d administered it. Easy. Thank you HHMP, you have never failed me. Fantastic experience: Dr Jade Tsen at Hunters Hill Medical Practice has been so accomodating and thorough with my family. She is very proactive when it comes to preventitive treatments and routine check ups. She is also very gentle, kind and welcoming with my toddler.
