Negative experience: FIND ANOTHER DOCTORS OFFICE!!!!! Had an atrocious experience with these doctors. Made a phone call appointment for 1.50pm for a script refill. I informed them I would not be able to do earlier or later as I was working, things needed to be exact. I received a call at 1.30 asking to push my appointment forwards. After declining, I waited til 1.50, received no contact phoned up and was informed doctor was on the phone with another patient. Had to rebook for 4.10, and received another phone call at 3.55 trying to push my appointment forwards. None of my requests were listened to, and while thanking the receptionist Anna rudely hung up on me. I was disgusted with the service and appalled with the muck around.

Positive experience: The doctors really are incredible and take the time to rule out every possible cause. Their patience is amazing and have correctly diagnosed after attending another doctor who misdiagnosed. Only let down is the old lady receptionist, she is incredibly rude! Not only was she very rude to my fiance but witnessed her talking crap about a client after a phone call. Probably shouldn’t work in a customer facing role with such poor customer service skills!

The premises were so clean and spacious and was pleasantly surprised when I was called in at the exact time of my appointment. Doctor CJ was amazing and treated me after explaining the clinical procedure in detail and cured my sickness with just one visit. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr CJ and the medical practice.

All the doctors are wonderful - not judgemental, listen to you when you have concerns, take the time to explain things clearly, they dont dismiss your concerns, and all around have wonderful patient care. I have been seeing Dr Ela for many years, and have never encountered such a wonderful GP. The new facilities at the practice are also lovely.

Fantastic experience: I had booked an appointment thinking that my back pain was sciatica. Dr Para had ordered tests and scans to be done which I thought was odd because my symptoms was very similar to sciatica. Turns out that the tests had found something even more serious. Dr Para quickly referred me to the hospital to see the specialists there. If this condition was left untreated I could've most likely died in two years. Dr Para's due diligence literally saved my life. I will forever be grateful for her passion to both medicine and her patients. Please don't think twice about visiting this practice or seeing Dr Para. The team there seems to really care about their patients.

Positive experience: The experience was good. Just disappointing now that after being a patient since the practice opened and being bulk billed. To now having to pay for appointments. Not happy about that. Everything else is fine.

Positive experience: Sometimes not very knowledgeable. Older receptionist can be quite abrupt and rude. There are some excellent doctors though.

Positive experience: It is not a bad clinic overall, but the latest experience wasn't good. My mom has been seen by a doctor and she did a blood test. Altogether it cost around 200$ and she doesn't have Medicare, so all went out of pocket. They didn't call back on those results. When we came to check the results, they refused to tell, and want us to book another 80-90$ appointment just to find out the results of the blood test. Refused to even say whether the results are ok. We had much better experience in other clinics in the case when there's no Medicare as they were even sending copies of results for free. It doesn't look safe to implement such policy as this clinic has.

Negative experience: Whilst I understand i was 20 mins late for my appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, I was met by the receptionist with hostility, then passive aggressive 'well I can see you daughter is in school uniform, if you stay for the appointment wont she be late for school?', then berated to other clients in front of myself 'identifying how annoying it was when people were late' as people approached the desk to check out and then the client proceeded to give me an untoward look as they made their way into the chemist. Extremely unprofessional, I couldn't let this behaviour go unnoticed!! NB whilst I was waiting if I could still be seen, the next client was late but not treated with any of the hostility I copped. Mindfulness that people are going through things and shouldn't be treated like that! Additionally I attempted to call through on Saturday to make this appointment and was on hold for over 15 mins and then the phone hung up in which case I drove down to the practise to make an appointment, the receptionist ignored the phone for the whole time I was in there suggesting 'its fine' after I asked if she needed to get that, in which case I proceeded to notify that I was on hold for + time and then hung up on thats why I came in to make an appointment, this also needs to be looked at. On another note thankyou to the GP for still seeing my daughter after not being on time, I truly appreciate it :)

Fantastic experience: from reception staff to doctors, every one is very helpful including nurses and blood collecting side. They go beyond limits to look after their clients and provide professionally best of everything. Very homely and great service provider. Pradip

Fantastic experience: My experiences at the Ferny Grove Family Practice have always been very good. In particular Dr. Para has been very understanding with the many issues that I have dealt with in the past years. She always takes her time to listen intently, and her approach is to be pro-active rather than reactive. You could not ask for a better doctor.

Negative experience: Receptionists need to be aware that if they don’t put a patient on hold when they are talking to medical staff before transferring the call, the patient can hear everything being said. Depending on the content of the talk, this is not good, particularly if the talk content is not agreeable to the patient. Additionally, it has nothing to do with the receptionist or non medical staff why you wish talk to a medical professional. The non-medical receptionist has no right to ask why a patient wishes to talk to medical staff before putting them through on the phone. Medical issues are no concern of the receptionist…only the administration of appointments etc. I cannot fault the Medical Staff, especially Dr Yang, who I have been seeing for over 20 years…he is amazing, as is the receptionist, Natasha, who came with him to this practice. The Clinical Nurses (Nurse Sheree and Nurse Ella) are equally fantastic. As said by another reviewer…once you get past the Receptionists (not all are officious, some are amazing), the medical support is great.

Fantastic experience: Dr C Jinendradasa guided me through a gradual reduction of prescription medication. This took 25 days and has been a complete success, with no issues since. Fantastic experience: Very easy to get appointments. I mostly consult Dr CJ ( Dr Champika Jinandrdasa) or Dr Rathi Shan and they are very thorough, kind, understanding and processional. Instructions and advice are very clear. In my opinion this clinic operates very well and everyone I spoked with was always very helpful for all my needs. The practice issue electronic pathology requests and e scripts on your request so you don’t have to carry paper copies or forget to take them when you go to the pharmacy or pathology. Overall Ferny Grove Family Practice provides a brilliant service.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Ferny Grove Family Practice for over 3 years now. I see Dr Ela for 2/3 kids and Dr Shan for 1 kid with ADHD and Autism. They are both really attentive and always caring. They always fit the kids in if it’s something that is urgent (after a quick triage by the nurse). They address the issues and holistically find a solution for them. Dr Para is fantastic for skin issues, procedure's and woman’s health questions. The Nurses over the years have all been great with vaccinations for the kids and have spent the time educating after their needles. They are all very caring and supportive and reassure that we can call and contact them with any concerns. The renovations make the place look updated and modern. 5/5 for the Drs and the Nurses!

All staff members do whatever they can to ensure patients are treated respectfully, from the administrative team to the practitioners. No stone is left unturned to ensure optimal care.

Negative experience: Have recently gone back to this practice...and since my dr was on leave for a week I needed to see a dr I was offered an appointment and then they cancelled on me last minute stating I couldn't see another dr except my usual but since my dr was away for another week it was impossible,but was offered an appointment to pay $80 to see a different dr on Saturday but was previously told I had to wait for my usual dr to come back.Then I was refused any service to this practice and now had to fork out money today to go to a different office altogether this isn't right terrible drs terrible service. Years ago the same practice manager had threatened me so off to make report to medical affairs or whatever office it is.
